ENERCOAST Renewable Energies in the Marine-Coastal Areas of the Adriatic-Ionian Region Maritime Call for Proposal October 2013 Priority-Objective 2-2 Axe 2: Protection of the Environment and Promotion of a Sustainable Territorial Development Objective 2.2: Promotion and Renewable Energy and Improvement of Energy Efficiency

The partnership CROATIA - University of Zagreb, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture. GREECE - University of the Aegean. ITALY - Cortea scrl and Province of Rimini (LP). SLOVENIA - Goriška Local Energy Agency Nova Gorica.

The main purpose In order to contribute to the Blue Growth, ENERCOAST aims at increasing the use of technologies for the production of energy from renewable sources applicable in coastal-marine environments, through a transnational cooperation in the Adriatic-Ionian sub-region. ENERCOAST is focused on an intense study of the state of the art through a deep cross-sectional analysis of the available data and technologies for the exploitation of renewable energy sources in marine-coastal areas, with special emphasis on their diffusion in the Adriatic-Ionian sub-region. As final result ENERCOAST will deliver solutions on how to overcome the technical and non technical obstacles for the diffusion of such technologies and the elaboration of shared proposals.

Features Budget: 367, Project duration: Main Activities: WP1 Administrative and financial management WP2 Technical activities (5 Actions)

RES of Adriatic-Ionian marine coastal area MARINE ENERGY WIND ENERGY SOLAR ENERGY ENVIRONMENTAL ENERGY tidal range, tidal current, wave energy Sea water as heat pump heat source

WP2 - ACTION 1 DATA COLLECTION (coordinator GOLEA) - Availability and potentialilty - Mapping of Existing installations - Positive and negative environmental impacts of existing installations - National and local legal framework - Supporting system Particular attention should be paid to those areas subject to environmental and heritage protection and for any kind of national subsidy given for the installation of technologies based on the exploitation of renewable source, incentives for energy efficiency.

WP2 - ACTION 2 TECHNOLOGIES ANALYSIS (coordinator University of Zagreb) Analysis of the technologies: LP Province of Rimini, Wind turbines (focus on low medium size) P1 CORTEA, Heat pumps with sea water P2 GOLEA and P3 University of Zagreb, Solar cooling systems P4 University of Aegean, Tidal current technologies.

WP2 - ACTION 3 ELABORATION OF THE RES SECTOR STATE OF THE ART (coordinator Cortea) Elaboration of a state of the art Report (based on activities 1 and 2) through a set of technical economical environmental and legislative parameters to define the level of development of the technologies, the size of plants the undergoing investments, The aim of this action is to identify the gaps on the level of data availability but also at policy level.

WP2 - ACTION 4 CASE STUDIES (coordinator University of the Aegean) Analysis of 8 case studies: N.
