2 Engineering solutions to eliminate waste Due to a combination of new legislative imperatives, enhanced ethical awareness and a growing trend towards best practice, the global oil and gas industry is increasingly pursuing more sustainable and efficient methods of handling and treating drilling wastes from onshore and offshore operations. We have redefined what is possible, providing tailored solutions to fit project-specific requirements, successfully overcoming perceived limitations. TWMA s specialist solutions provide a range of innovative methods for the efficient collection, transfer, treatment and reduction of drill cuttings, slops, sludges and associated materials onshore, allowing operators to honour both ambitious operational targets and environmental responsibilities. Working with operators across the globe, our in-house engineering team ensures all equipment and processes comply with the highest HSEQ standards, providing tailored solutions for any location and maintaining optimum production, improving safety and minimising environmental impact. Our industry-leading solutions minimise the environmental impact of drilling operations throughout the full project life cycle. Engaging with operators at the project planning stage means we can advise on solutions both operationally and aligned with environmental regulation. Working closely with clients, our in-house engineering teams will develop optimum solutions, ensuring that the onsite waste management meets a project s operational, financial and legislative requirements. From initial concept development through to project execution, we specialise in the design, manufacture, integration and maintenance of the equipment packages needed to handle and treat the various waste streams generated from oil and gas operations. Combining over a decade of experience and know-how, our engineering capabilities form a core part of our integrated offering: Detailed engineering surveys Comprehensive project plans and costs Procurement, fabrication and installation of equipment Commissioning and maintenance Our dedicated teams of experienced personnel operate our range of proprietary technology in line with approved standards and processes. 3 Onshore, TCC RotoMill units can be operated by diesel engine or electric motor, delivering processing speeds of up to 10 metric tonnes per hour Onshore mobile processing TCC RotoTruck Delivering all the benefits of the TCC RotoMill in a fully mobile unit designed specifically for land-based projects, the TWMA TCC RotoTruck delivers the capacity to move between onshore fields, processing drill cuttings at source in even the most remote locations. Once onsite, the compact processing unit can be mobilised at individual wells or set at a central location. Onsite processing has multiple benefits, including eliminating the need for, and costs associated with, long-distance transportation of materials for treatment and disposal. Recovered water can be disposed of on location, while recovered base oil, which retains its full original quality, can be directly reintroduced to the drilling mud system, representing significant cost savings for operators. The TCC RotoTruck s mobility does nothing to lessen its effectiveness. With minimal warm-up and shut-down periods required and capacity to operate 24 hours per day, units have a processing capacity of up to 10 metric tonnes per hour. Units feature a computerised monitoring and control system, allowing drilling wastes to be strictly controlled, ensuring safety throughout, and can operate at any temperature to suit base oil properties. The introduction of the TCC RotoTruck has eliminated the need to transport thousands of barrels of drill cuttings and associated wastes to landfill sites globally. Onshore fixed-location processing TWMA has treatment plants in key oil and gas centres across the globe. Each location delivers the capability to handle, treat and recycle all manner of drilling wastes received from skip-and-ship or bulk transfer operations. Recognised as the leading industry solution for the handling and treatment of drill cuttings and associated materials, the TWMA-engineered-and-manufactured TCC RotoMill, significantly reduces the environmental impact of your drilling operations. Focusing on solids control rather than waste management, the TCC RotoMill eliminates drilling waste by separating drill cuttings and associated materials into their constituent parts of oil, water and solids via a process of thermal desorption. Onshore, TCC RotoMill units can be operated by diesel engine or electric motor, delivering processing speeds of up to 10 metric tonnes per hour. Following treatment, recovered water and powdered solids outputs are no longer classed as waste products and are safe for discharge. Recovered base oil remains chemically unchanged due to the relatively low temperatures utilised in the TCC RotoMill and is therefore suitable for reuse in the drilling mud system. Outputs: Retained hydrocarbons in recovered solids <1% Retained hydrocarbons in recovered water typically <30ppm Recovered base oil is unimpaired by processing and is suitable for reuse in drilling mud Page 4 Page 5

4 Slops treatment and solids control Slops treatment A significant volume of oil slop waste, containing a potentially hazardous mixture of oil, rainwater, chemicals and solids, is generated by the oil and gas industry. Developed from an in-depth understanding of the complex chemistry involved, we offer specialist services for the treatment of oily slops and sludges. Combining flocculation, centrifugation and settling, slops treatment separates oil from the mixture. Recovered solids are sent for additional treatment to recover any remaining oil, whilst water is safe to be discharged. Absence of high-temperature treatment means recovered base oil retains its original quality and is therefore suitable for reuse. Solids control TWMA s range of solids control equipment offers a single-source solution for onshore drilling operations, using state-of-the-art equipment designed, manufactured, operated and maintained by our in-house engineering team. Trained operators provide solids control services with the following supporting equipment provided on a sale or rental basis: Cuttings dryers Mud coolers Centrifuges Degassers Shaker screens De-silter and de-sanders Complete solutions give complete results TWMA offers something that its competitors simply cannot with over a decade of experience in drilling wastes management, processing and reduction onshore, our knowledge of the field and fully integrated offering are unrivalled. We were the first providers of offshore thermal processing to the industry in 2001 and continue to be recognised as the industry leader today, drawing on first-hand insight and understanding to push the limits of engineering and process-driven knowledge. Our technology and solutions are designed and manufactured in-house, so quality is guaranteed. We adhere to the philosophy that all accidents are preventable, and continually look for ways to reduce risk. This commitment to safety safeguards all involved with our operations. Our complete reporting regime and exacting environmental standards have earned the trust of the oil and gas industry, with TWMA providing consultancy solutions in respect to global and regional environmental issues and regulation.
