Current scenario, Government policies, Understand the basics of electricity and electrical concepts, Basic solar system and its components, Sun radiation, Sun Position, Sun Hours, Explain and understand DNI, GHI and Diffused Irradiance & Irradiation, Power definition, Power generation, Assess the movement of the sun and its effect on the performance of the plant, Module Tilt angle, Advantages and Disadvantages of solar energy. Technologies: Solar Insolation, Solar Radiation, Cell Parameters, Type Of Cells, Cell Production Process, Solar PV Modules, Types Of Module, I-V Characteristics, Power Characteristics, (Videos: Solar Cell manufacturing, PV modules manufacturing) Tools and Equipment s: Site Assessment Tools, Basic Tools Needed for Installation, Additional Tools to Consider (especially for multiple installations), Tools for Battery Systems. Identify and acquire the know-how of the different tools & tackles used for specific purpose in an installation of Solar PV system Safety Practical s: Safety Helmet, Belt, Shoos, Goggle, Hand Glows, Apron, Identify the requirements for safe work area, Administer first aid, Identify the personal protective equipment used for the specific purpose, Identify the hazards associated with photovoltaic installations, Identify work safety procedures and instructions for working at height, Understand Occupational health & Safety standards and regulations for installation of Solar PV system. Day 2-COMMERCIAL ASPECTS Practical (Hands on practical) Solar PV On-Grid: On-Grid Fundamental Concept, Required Components/Equipment s, Advantages, Disadvantage, Applications, Balance of system, Function of MPPT, Function of inverters, functions of grid synchronization, On- Grid System Design, String and Array sizing, Basic

3 rules for String formation, Interconnection of PV Modules, Wattage Calculation, Installation and Commissioning. Solar PV Installations: Installation on metal sheeting, concrete roof top and Ground mounted Ingress protection, calculation, design low power and high power system. Read and Interpret the manufacturing data specification sheets of different Types, sizes and specifications of, Modules, Solar Inverters, Charge Controllers, Cables, Conduits, Junction Boxes, Solar Batteries and allied accessories Solar PV Maintenance Repair: General cleaning, Inspection and monitoring, common troubles in PV system. Note- All the participants will be divided into groups. Each group will be provided with a working kit (including Solar panels, Inverter, wiring, suitable structure, tools and devices required). They will be asked to install a system by themselves under the guidance of our technical faculty. Solar PV Off-Grid Design: Off Grid Fundamental Concept, Required Components/Equipment s, Advantages, Disadvantage, Applications, Off Grid System Design, Interconnection Of PV Modules, Type Of Batteries, Battery Room, Wattage Calculation, Installation And Commissioning. Practice session: Task 1 design 100kw power plant. task 2 design 500kw power plant. Task 3 design 1MW power plant. Question Answer session:

4 DAY 4- SHADOW AND PERFORMANCE EVALUATION Shading Analysis: why shading analysis. how to analysis shadow free area. Shading analysis with the help of PVsyst software:overview of pvsyst shading. 3D model on PVsyst and shadow analysis. Performance evaluation of PV system: how to analyze performance of solar PV system. Calculation of PR (performance ratio) and CUF (capacity utilization factor). Difference between PR and CUF. Practice session: Creating 3D model and analysis. DAY 5- BASIC OF PVSOL Introduction: different phase of PVSOL. Different losses parameters and simulation. Designing through software:-design of 50KW solar power plant and briefly discuss technical parameter. 3D analysis with PVSOL: designing A 1MW power plant Practice session: DAY 6- MINISTRIES, SCHMES AND POLICIES a) Government mission, target. b) Subsidies, tax benefits, etc Installation of Electrical components of a Solar PV System: site visit at nearest location.
