Who are we Our roots

Who are we We are a third generation family owned enterprise based on sustainable development We solve waste management issues for some of Germany s most successful companies and regional governments We excel at separating organic/bio waste from the waste stream And we use this to a new level and generate green energy

Our roots Our locations in Bavaria Our company in numbers Established in 1936 More than 7,000 customers from all industries in and around Munich Urban waste disposal for 15 regional municipalities in our catchment area 450 employees, 180 trucks and working with more than 100 partner recycling facilities We manage about ¼ of Bavaria s waste

Our paradigm Our concept Our expertise

Our paradigm Optimizing organic waste management and energy generation We possess extensive knowledge in the collection and recycling of bio waste

Our concept First we capture the regenerative energy from the existing bio and green waste. Then with subsequent composting we maintain the excellent fertilizing properties of composts. WE COMBINE ENERGY AND MATERIAL USE

Our expertise We manage the waste disposal for about 2.3 million people in 15 regional municipalities in Bavaria about a quarter of the province. In the process, we also collect approx. 100,000 tons of bio waste every year. Through our P3 (Private-Public-Partnership Company), we recycle approx. 25,000 tons of organic/bio waste every year. We generate 5.7 million kwh and supply approx. 1,500 households with clean green power every year

Types of fermentation Advantages of combined energy use Advantages of dry fermentation Our current plant Reference values

Types of fermentation process Wet Dry continuous noncontinuous Plug flow process Batch

Advantages of combined energy use Due to the increased degradation of organic matter in the combined use of energetic material, we achieve a doubling of capacity compared to pure/traditional composting. Significant improvement with odor management. The odor load from the intensive rot is eliminated because the most odor-intensive parts of the biological waste are already completely broken down in the closed fermentation stage. Less CO 2 emissions compared to pure composting plants

Advantages of dry fermentation Systems engineering is less complex less susceptible to interference Plant has a smaller footprint Reduced water usage Hygienisation is already carried out in the fermentation stage (only with plug flow fermentation) Plug flow fermentation is particularly suitable for the retrofitting of existing composting plants for the above mentioned reasons

Our current bio waste fermentation plant We are the operating partner in a P3 for bio fermentation plant of WGV Recycling GmbH Input Organic waste collected from two municipal districts Processing 25,000 tons per year

Our current bio waste fermentation plant Technical data STRABAG method/technique CHP-Unit with an electrical power output of 800 kwh 7 employees Annual Output 5,700 MWh of electricity 6,250 MWh of heat 9,000 m³ of high quality liquid fertilizer 7,000 tons of high quality solid fertilizer
