2 PRE-FEASIBILITY REPORT 1.0 INTRODCTION Kinjal Chemicals is a proposed expansion project which will be proposed at our existing premises located at Plot No. C/1/B Phase-II, GIDC Estate, Naroda, Ahmadabad, Gujarat The unit is believed in sustainable development and equally concern about environment preservation and pollution control. The unit is placing high environment, health and safety. The proposed project falls under category B, section 5(f) of EIA Notification 2006 and amendment thereof. The site is well connected with road & railway, nearest city Ahmadabad and there is no national park, wildlife sanctuary, eco sensitive areas in surrounding 10 km Radius. The project doesn t fall under CRZ boundaries. 2.0 PROJECT BACKGROUND INFORMATION 2.1 Identification of project and project proponent. Kinjal Chemicals is proposing expansion of existing production capacity from 135 dyes intermediate to 910 MT / month Max. Dyes Intermediate located at Plot NOC/1/B-145-3, Phase-II, GIDC Estate, Naroda, Ahmadabad, Gujarat Kinjal Chemicals is promoted by Mr. Kirtibhai S. Patel. 2.2 Brief description of nature of the project. The Project falls under Category B, section 5 (f), IND 2of EIA Notification September 2006 and amendment December, Hence, Environmental Clearance is applicable to the Proposed Project. 2.3 Need for the project and its importance to the country and or region The unit Kinjal Chemicals will use Good Faith Efforts to employ local people from the nearby villages depending upon the availability of skilled & un-skilled manpower surrounding the project site. In operation phase the proposed project would require significant work force of non-technical and technical persons. Migration of highly educated and skilled experience persons will result in increase of literacy in the Surrounding Villages. 2.4 Employment Generation (Direct and Indirect) due to the project The proposed project will give direct employment to local people based on qualification and requirement. In addition to direct employment, indirect

3 employment shalll generate ancillary business to some extent for the local population. In operation phase, the proposed project would require significan t work force of non-technical experience will result in increase of literacy inn the surrounding and technical persons. The project site is located onn level ground, which does not require any major land filling for is a grading work. Proximity to raw material suppliers. We shall procure the raw material from domestic market by roads. Finished Product will be transported using road ways. List of raw materials is enclosed as Annexure-II. 3.6 Resource optimization/ recycling and reuse envisaged in the project, if any, should be briefly outlined. The effluent will be treated in ETP and sent to CETP as per the existing CC&A and additional load due to the expansion project will be sent to the common spray drying facilities. Spent Acid will be sent to the Novel, Vatva as per the booked value and other will be sent to the Shree Cement and Rajasthan Agro Vet Product.

6 3.7 Availability of water its source, Energy/power requirement and source should be given. Water Source: Water is to be supplied by GIDC, Naroda. Electricity Requirement: Electricity shall be obtained from UGVCL Natural Gas shall be used as a fuel for Boiler. 7 Waste Water generation. The total waste water generations from Industrial will be 41.0 KLD. The waste water shall generate mainly from processes, washing, boiler, cooling tower and scrubber. The diluted effluent from utility and washing activity and scrubbing discharge will be treated in ETP and treated effluent will be reuse in the process again. The concentrated effluent will be sent to the Common spray Drying Facility. The unit is having booked value total 800 TPM of various facilities. The corticated of the membership is enclosed as Annexure-X The spent acid will be sent to the Novel, Vatva having booked permission of 500 TPM. Also unit is having booked permission of Shree Cement of 200 TPM and 1375 TPM MoU with Rjasthan Agro Vet Product. The certificate and MoU copies are enclosed as Annexure-X The domestic wastewater shall be of 2 KLD. The domestic effluent shall be disposed through septic tank/soak pit system. 9 4.0 SITE ANALYSIS Hazardous waste generated from thee processs & maintenance. Empty drums and barrels hand over to authorize vender for further recycle. The Management of Hazardous waste will be done as perr Hazardous Wastee Management Rules The list of hazardous waste generation is enclosed as Annexure-A -VI. 4.1 Connectivity Site is very well connected by road and railway. In case of the notified industrial area, a copy of the Gazette notification should be given.) There is no forest, national park, wild life sanctuary, ecosensitivee areas in surrounding 10 Km of the plant boundary. CRZ is not applicable to the project. 10 4.5 Existing Infrastructure There is no infrastructure on existing land. 4.6 Soil Classification NA. proposed project is in GIDC area. 4.7 Social infrastructure available. Depending on the growth of the company the required social infrastructure will be provided. 5.0 PLANNING BRIEF 5.1 Type of industries. Type of Industry: S.O. 11 Total Area Assessment of Infrastructure Demand (Physical & Social) On the basis of the preliminary site visit, the infrastructure demanding the villages was assessed on the basis of need and priority. Employment would be as pre prevailing norms of state government for skilled and unskilled people for the proposed project activity. 5.4Amenities / Facilities Proper site services such as First Aid, Canteen, Drinking Water, Maintenance Work shop, etc. will be provided to the workers. It is proposed to construction room for labour. 6.0 PROPOSED INFRASTRUCTURE 6.1 Industrial Area (Processing Area including process plant, utility & ETP) Processing Area: 1080m Non Processing Area Non Processing Area (Green belt, Raw material storage area, Admin and open area). Area: 414m Green Belt Total about 44 m 2 will be used for green belt and plantation. We will develop green belt near to main gate and on periphery of plant boundary. 6.4 Social Infrastructure Depending on the growth of the company the required social infrastructure will be provided. 6.5 Connectivity (Traffic and Transportation Road/Rail/Metro/Water ways etc.) Road and railways are in close vicinity. There is no proposal to make any new kind of connectivity. 6.6 Drinking water Management (Source & Supply of water)

12 Water for domestic and industrial will be 168KLD, which will be met from GIDC water supply. 6.7 Sewerage System Domestic waste water of 2.0 KLD will be treated into septic tank followed by soak pit. 6.8 Industrial Waste Water Management The total waste water generations from Industrial will be 41 KLD. The waste water shall generate mainly from processes, washing, boiler, cooling tower and scrubber. The diluted effluent 17 KLD from utility and washing activity and scrubbing discharge will be treated in ETP and reused in washing, cooling make up, scrubbing and process. Remaining 24 KLD will be sent to the common spray drying facility along with the concentrated effluent. The concentrated effluent will be sent to the Common spray Drying Facility. The unit is having booked value total 800 TPM of various facilities. The total power requirement for the proposed project is 225 KW.

13 7.0 REHABILITATION AND RESETTLEMENTT (R & R) PLAN Not Applicable 8.0 PROJECT SCHEDULE &COST ESTIMATES 8.1 Likely date of start off construction and likely date of completion (Time schedulee for the project to be given). We shall start constructionn after getting environmental clearance and consent to establish. 8.2 Estimated Project cost along with analysis in terms of economicc viability of the project. Total Project Cost for proposed project activity is Rs. 6 crore. 9.0 ANALYSIS OF PROPOSAL (FINAL RECOMMENDATIONS) 9.1 Financial and social benefits with special emphasis on the benefit to be local people including tribal population, if any, in thereof. The project will be proving time by time for beneficial to the people as the company progress and expands its activity. Byy CSR activity company management will committed to improve infrastructure & all other facilities for the local people like Educational facilities, Medical facilities, and Transportation facilities etc. as well the local peoplee especially tribal populatiop on will be taken as employers which will improve the socio economic environment of the area.
