2 Clean Air Partnership (CAP) CAP s mission is to work with partners to achieve clean air, facilitate the exchange of ideas, advance changes and promote and coordinate actions to improve local air quality and reduce greenhouse gases for healthy communities. We focus on strategies that will influencing decisions in the interests of livable cities.

5 Promotion of Local Food Declaration 4.3: Development of a Local Food Solutions Paper that provides guidance and lessons learned on the development and implementation of local food procurement policies. Update: Local Food Procurement Actions and Reports Scan in development, draft currently under review Local Food Procurement Policies approved in Markham, Toronto, and Halton Region

6 Phasing Out Disposable Water Bottles Declaration 4.5: Working to take action on identifying barriers to phasing out disposable water bottles from GTA-CAC member s government facilities, identifying barriers to building awareness within the community on the benefits of municipal tap water Target: 10 municipalities have committed to phasing out disposable water bottles within municipal facilities by 2010

25 Financing Community Energy Actions Research and prioritize financing strategies available to Ontario municipalities to finance energy efficiency and green energy actions and work collaboratively with the Province of Ontario and the Government of Canada to pilot test financing initiatives.

26 Identify and prioritize municipal opportunities to reduce air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions from personal vehicles. Tackling the Personal Transportation Sector
