2 PLANTIC and Kuraray In 2015, Kuraray announced the purchase of Plantic Technologies Ltd. of Australia, to enhance the range of barrier polymers that they currently offer to the market. These include: EVAL EVOH, a superior barrier polymer used as resin for coextrusion and coninjection, and as monolayer film for lamination, KURARISTER transparent retortable flims for lamination, and EXCEVAL water soluble EVOH used for solution coating. Kuraray has one of the largest and most complete barrier polymer portfolios with productıon sites around the world. This market only contınues to grow as Kuraray contınues to invest in the EVAL productıon faciliıes in the Americas and Europe to increase capacity. PLANTIC PLANTIC is designed to meet the growing world demand for a sustainable approach to plastics technology. With a high renewable content, environmental and superior technical characteristıcs, let the PLANTIC range of products enhance your packaging requirements. A wide range of PLANTIC materials are manufactured to meet customer requirements using modern technology. Thin layers of PET, PE or PBS are adhered to the core layer of renewably sourced high barrier PLANTIC HP sheet. Our ongoing commitment to better support the global demand for sustainable packaging means we are contınuously testıng new material structures. 5 Renewable resourced material Unlike other providers, whose primary material is developed in a refinery, PLANTIC s is grown in a field. We have developed a biodegradable, renewable, organic alternatıve to conventıonal plastics based on high amylose corn starch. High barrier performance The thickness of the PLANTIC HP layer used in the final structure can be varied to meet OTR Measurement of PLANTIC HP cm3/m2/24hr.atm : 10 C,90/50% RH (Mocon test data) consumers desired performance as well as sustainably credentıals OTR Measured PLANTIC HP Thickness (µm) 5

6 Products used by the world s leading producers and retailers PLANTIC offers the global market with a range of products including rigid, semi-rigid, flexible materials, skin pack bottom webs, stand up pouches and standard pouches. For converters we offer barrier laminate structures to suit your requirements. The thickness of the final structure can be easily modified to suit the required performance.
