6 THE RECYCLING PROCESS PROCESS FLOW CHART RAW MATERIALS COLLECTED Items from across the US converge in our facility to be broken down to their elemental pieces. After processing materials are ready for reintegration into the production chain. 1. Transportation 2. Storage Metals Metals are sorted with state-of-the-art optical technology and sent downstream for reuse. Circuit Board PCBs as they are often called are bundled and reclaimed for their precious metal value. Plastics There are countless types of plastic which we sort, clean and send downstream for reuse. 3. Sorting 4. Demanufacturing Glass Glass is separated by type and then is sent downstream for reuse in a variety of applications. Wire Wires are separated into metals and plastic/ rubber and further separated.
