3 1. The Mark Group - Overview Mark Group is a global company, with over 1,600 employees, dedicated to providing a 'whole house' solution to energy efficiency. With humble origins, Mark Group first began saving energy for its customers over 37 years ago and quickly recognised that this was a significant step in helping save energy, money and carbon emissions. Today, the Mark Group makes over 6,000 homes more energy efficient every week from 20 locations around the globe. We are recognised globally as a leader in installation, microgeneration and energy savings products, in particular solar energy, solar hot water and solar ventilation. We strongly believe in our traditional values of quality and service, ensuring that you are treated like a customer rather than an order. All our supervisors carry appropriate trades qualifications, and every one of our technicians, installers or electricians are employed directly by us. Residential Solar Hot Water Mark Group has a strong Solar Water Heater capability after having devised leading supplier relationships. Residential Solar Ventilation Mark Group offers innovative products to cool and heat your home, and thus reduce rising energy bills. Commercial solutions Mark Group is a leading provider and installer of of integrated grid connect systems to retail, Small to Medium builders and larger construction firms, schools and large commercial ventures. Insulation Mark Group is a leading supplier and installer of insulation products to the new build market, in addition to retrofitting into a variety of existing homes and buildings. 3. Mark Group has been specialising in energy reduction products & services since Mark Group employs over 1,600 fulltime employees internationally. Mark Group only uses 175, of its own fully employed, qualified and accredited tradespeople, which have been trained at our own training facility, Mark Academy, prior to installing systems. 6 5. Mark Academy In house training Mark Group is proud to provide a dedicated training academy committed to creating a 'green army' of renewables technicians. Located at their corporate headquarters in North Ryde, the Mark Academy is a vocational facility dedicated to training the next generation of installation technicians. Around 500 are expected to be trained in this year. Once 'graduated', their skill set will cover a range of renewable technologies in building energy savings. Mark Group customers can rest assured, knowing that they have highly skilled professionals, trained from an industry leading academy, and working to meet their needs. The academy will help provide a significant amount of jobs in the environmental sector, falling in line with the Prime Minister's call to take a global lead in tackling climate change and in doing so creating hundreds of jobs in the process. The Mark Academy will seek to do just that, train a new generation of energy saving experts who will form the 'domestic front line' in the battle against climate change and the cost of energy for consumers. Environment Health & Safety The Mark Group has a comprehensive Policy & procedure covering all aspects of Safety procedures, work methods and risk assessments. The Mark Group s environmental policy is designed to meet and comply with ISO The Mark Group prides itself on their individual risk assessment taken at the beginning of each and every installation, and takes contentious steps to ensuring that day to day operations, purchasing choices and installations all encompass the company ethos of environment, health and safety in everything that we do. 7 7. Quality The Mark Group is committed to quality and this is reflected in our management systems, implemented with ISO in mind. Each Divisional Manager takes overall responsibility for Quality Assurance within our company, reporting company-wide KPI s through to the CEO and UK Head Office. Quality procedures are designed to ensure that project requirements are established, implemented and maintained in the most effective and efficient method possible. Mark Group Australia benchmarks all project deliverables against internal and industry best standards reviewed quarterly. Quality benchmarks are identified and measured with KPI s focusing on accuracy, efficiency and diligence in order to maintain project cost, quality and time to complete targets. 8. System Standards Solar PV Clean Energy Council (CEC) & Business Council for Sustainable Energy (BCSE) certification and registered. Solar array mounting systems comply with AS1170, Installations compliant with i.e. Australian Standard for wind loads. Project installation and implementation will be completed by qualified technicians to: BSCE installation requirements for renewable energy systems; CEC Design accreditation requirements; AS3000:2007 Wiring Rules; AS3000 Electrical installations; AS/NZS 5003:2005: Installation of Photovoltaic Arrays; AS3008 Selection of cables; AS The interface between solar panels and inverters AS Inverter requirements; AS Grid protection requirements; AS Wind Loads; Page 7 : 11

8 9. Experience The Mark Group s has been operating since 1974, owned and operated by the same family since its inception. The Mark Group is driven to achieving powerful relationships with key supply partners, using only quality, standard compliant products and only using employed and trained installation specialists, no subcontractors. Our international experience ranges from residential, new builds, multi-story residential and commercial installations. 10. Installation Process & Project Management The installation for the project follows industry best installation practices using only fully qualified and certified tradesmen. Once installation approval is received, the following (high level) installation sequence will be followed: HSE induction program for all site personnel. Site inspection and completion of JSA. Installation of mountings. Installation of solar panels & inverters. Installation of ducting and electrical cabling. Finalise wiring and connections to switchboards. Waste removal and cleanup. System testing. Commissioning and handover. Once all installation activities have been completed, a full system test will be conducted. This test will be conducted by CEC certified Mark Group staff prior to system hand over. All projects have a nominated Project Manager who is responsible for the overall implementation of the project, specifically technical performance, schedule and cost, fully supported by the system design engineer for the project. The nominated Project Manager will be the single point of contact for all project correspondence and appointed once the project has been finalised. Page 8 : 11

Solar electricity, or Solar Photovoltaic s (PV); Solar PV is the cleanest and most efficient method of consistently offsetting your energy bills. We believe that one of the most useful ways of saving energy is by harnessing the sun. Mark Group can offer you a high quality solar system, but reliable and highly trained installers, to save you money and buffer you from rising energy bills. Solar hot water has been used for over 100 years, with Australia first experiencing them in 1960 s. Solar Hot water systems are a proven technology which can provide savings of 40-70% when compared with electric hot water systems. The panels trap light during the day and convert it into heat which can be stored and used to heat your water supply. Saving you money and saving tonnes of C02 into the atmosphere Air source heat pumps; Heat Pumps provide an exciting low carbon alternative to traditional boilers in modern buildings. They provide heat for domestic hot water and heating systems, without the need for groundwork s, external pumps, or even solar panels, which is ideal for retrofits where solar panels cannot be mounted. Solar Ventilation Smartbreeze will either purge hot air from your roof or redirect the warm or cool air into your home whenever it can be used to achieve the desired room temperature. Smartbreeze can be programmed 24/7 as it is free energy, powered by the sun. Smartbreeze can be used on its own or in conjunction with separate supplemental heating and cooling systems. This means going above and beyond simply installing energy-saving products, helping customers understand how they can benefit from energy efficient measures and tailoring a solution to suit them. 13. HeatSeekers HeatSeekers is an exciting, innovative and unique way of providing insulation measures to households throughout Australia. Using state of the art equipment you will be thermally scanning the exterior of homes to identify properties in need of ceiling insulation. HeatSeekers is coming soon to Australia. If you d like to learn more about the technology currently in use in the UK, please look at the video on our website HeatSeekers specially equipped vehicles use state-of-the-art thermal imaging technology to capture thermal images of the outside of your home, highlighting any potential heat loss. This clever technology means we take a proven scientific approach to identifying properties which could benefit from better home insulation. 14. Warehouse Policy The Mark Group commits to carrying the following products in our warehouse, ensuring that you we can supply your needs; Knauf Insulation We will always have a minimum of three (3) months stock at various warehouse locations throughout major cities Residential Solar Photovoltaic & Solar Hot Water Products; Four (4) weeks stock in all warehouse locations for all systems under 10kW Commercial Solar Photovoltaic Products; Each commercial project will vary in its requirements. We expect to carry a stock for all panels and inverters, however pending on the specific installation requirements, this is subject to change Page 10 : 11

11 15. Service Commitment The Mark Group understands the need for consistency of supply and communication. We undertake to supply all required services and products in full and on time. Should the Mark Group, at any stage be unable to supply specified materials, we undertake to provide comparable or superior materials at no extra charge to you. Due to the nature of construction, should we experience any installations which are extraordinary, we reserve the right to discuss these with you, and negotiate 16.
