Vapours may travel across the ground and reach remote ignition sources causing a flashback fire. Electrostatic charges may be generated during pumping. Electrostatic discharge may cause fire. Environmental Hazards : Toxic to aquatic organisms. May cause long-term adverse effects in the aquatic environment. Health Hazards Inhalation : Vapours expected to be slightly irritating. Vapours may cause drowsiness and dizziness. Skin Contact : Irritating to skin. Repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking. Eye Contact : Vapours may be irritating to the eye. Ingestion : Harmful: may cause lung damage if swallowed..

2 Section 4 - First Aid Measures Inhalation : Remove to fresh air. If rapid recovery does not occur, transport to nearest medical facility for additional treatment. Skin Contact : Remove contaminated clothing. Flush exposed area with water and follow by washing with soap if available. Eye Contact : Flush eye with copious quantities of water. Obtain immediate medical attention. Ingestion : If swallowed, do not induce vomiting transport immediately to nearest medical facility for additional treatment. If vomiting occurs spontaneously, keep head below hips to prevent aspiration. Advice to Physician : Causes central nervous system depression. Dermatitis may result from prolonged or repeated exposure. Potential for chemical pneumonitis. Section 5 Fire Fighting Measures FLAMMABLE PROPERTIES Clear fire area of all non-emergency personnel. Flash point : C / F (Tagliabue Closed Cup) Flash Point from Solvent Naphtha only. Explosion / Flammability limits in air Not determined on finished product. Auto ignition temperature : Not determined. Specific Hazards : Carbon monoxide may be evolved if incomplete combustion occurs. Will float and can be reignited on surface water. The vapour is heavier than air, spreads along the ground and distant ignition is possible. Extinguishing Media : Foam, water spray or fog. Dry chemical powder, carbon dioxide, sand or earth may be used for small fires only. Do not discharge extinguishing waters into the aquatic environment. Unsuitable Extinguishing Media Do not use water in a jet. Protective Equipment for Firefighters Wear full protective clothing and self-contained breathing apparatus. Additional Advice : Keep adjacent containers cool by spraying with water. Steps to be taken in case of spill or leak Section 6 Accidental Release Measures Contain spillage, and then collect with non-combustible absorbent material, (e.g. sand, earth, diatomaceous earth, vermiculite) and place in container for disposal according to local / national regulations.

3 In the event of a spill or accidental release, notify relevant authorities in accordance with all applicable regulations. U.S. regulations require reporting releases of this material to the environment which exceed the reportable quantity or oil spills which could reach any waterway including intermittent dry creeks. ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS Large Spills: Dike far ahead of liquid spill for later recovery and disposal. Prevent entry into waterways, sewers, basements or confined areas. Section 7 Handling and Storage General Precautions : Avoid breathing vapours or contact with material. Only use in well ventilated areas. Wash thoroughly after handling. Handling : Ensure electrical continuity by bonding and grounding (earthing) all equipment. Handle and open container with care in a well-ventilated area. Avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothing. Extinguish any naked flames. Do not smoke. Remove ignition sources. Avoid sparks. The vapour is heavier than air, spreads along the ground and distant ignition is possible. Ventilate workplace in such a way that the Occupational Exposure Limit (OEL) is not exceeded. Do not empty into drains. Storage : Must be stored in a well-ventilated area, away from sunlight, ignition sources and other sources of heat. Storage Temperature: Ambient. Container Advice : Containers, even those that have been emptied, can contain explosive vapours. Do not cut, drill, grind, weld or perform similar operations on or near containers. Section 8 Exposure Controls / Personal Protection ENGINEERING MEASURES Air contaminant levels should be controlled below the PEL or TLV for this product (see Exposure Guidelines). Adequate ventilation should be provided so that exposure limits are not exceeded. Use explosion-proof ventilation equipment. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT Eyes: Chemical resistant goggles must be worn. Face-shield Skin: Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye/face protection. Inhalation: Respiratory protection is normally not required except in emergencies or when conditions cause excessive airborne levels of mists or vapors. Use NIOSH approved respiratory protection. EXPOSURE GUIDELINES In the absence of occupational exposure standards for this product, it is recommended that the following are adopted. VM&P Naphtha ACGIH TWA 300 ppm OSHA Z1A TWA 300 ppm OSHA Z1A STEL 400 ppm
