1 21 23 China Wind Power 2009 Beijing Meeting the industry professionals Driving the industry development Hosted by Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) Chinese Renewable Energy Industries Association (CREIA) Chinese Wind Energy Association (CWEA) Organized by Beijing CCID Conference and Exhibition Co., Ltd October, 2009 China International Exhibition Center(New)

2 Working Together building up a valuable Platform With the rapid growth of China s wind power industry, there has also been an increase in wind energy exhibitions in various regions in China over the past few years. To create one regular China-wide industry event and ensure the continued advancement of the wind power industry in China, The Chinese Renewable Energy industries association (CREIA), The Chinese Wind Energy Association (CWEA)and Global Wind Energy Council(GWEC) decided to host an annual China International Wind Power Exhibition. This event is aimed to provide a platform for experts, decision-makers and manufactures to share best practices, developers and investors to exchange and display technology, all to promote the rapid and development of wind power industry in china and beyond. On 29 October 2008, a fantastic display of traditional Chinese drummers launched Global Wind Power 2008 and China Wind Power 2008 in the New China International Exhibition Center (New CIEC). The event attracted both domestic and international professionals with its 16,000 m 2 show area and 249 companies. Over 12,000 professional visitors toured the exhibition where all of the world s leading turbine manufacturers displayed their technology. Other exhibitors included over 200 component suppliers covering the whole supply chain from turbines, blades, bearings, gearboxes, hubs, towers, to yawing system, controlling systems, transmission systems and monitoring systems. Such a meeting place for the entire industry in China is important so that technology can be shared and business can be made. Wind Power a right choice for big country of energy consumption China focus of global wind power industry The fossil fuel being closer to exhaustion than ever before, and the worsening climate and environment problems caused by green house gas emissions have put the development and utilization of renewable energy resources into the spotlight of the international community. As a major renewable energy, wind power is influencing the world at an unprecedented development speed. The wind power installation capacity of china has had an annual growth rate of 100% for the past three years. Although wind farms contribute only less than 1% of the total power generation in China, power generated by wind farms in Denmark and northern Germany takes already 40% of the total power generation. No doubt we are far behind, but the difference also implies greater expectations. At least it shows that wind power is no longer playing a minor role in the power industry and there is certainly a big potential for its development. This development being guaranteed both in legislation and in the schedule by The Long and Mid-term Development Plan for Renewable Energy, wind power growth in China will take off soon. Rich wind resources and strong support in regulations by the government have enabled the wind power industry of China to growth at a fast speed and the primary market scale has been achieved, making it the second largest wind power market in the world, next to USA. The world is paying its attention to China. Meanwhile there are difficulties and problems yet to be overcome by the wind power industry in China, such as the bottleneck of technologies and management, the balance between fast growth and the sustainable growth. China needs to communicate with the world therefore. China Wind Power is committed to build up a platform of international exchange and gettingtogether for all the industry participants and facilitate the development of the wind power industry.

Dalian Metallurgical Bearing Co., Ltd. The event was very well organized and we have achieved a lot. We will come back next year and strengthen our participation. Riding on the wind Painting Show by children The organizers have invited 300 children to become the Wind Kids, enabling them to know how to make use of the wind around us to serve the human kind and to imagine the changes wind energy will make for us in the future. The kids put their heartfelt words and pictures on paper, mixing the business atmosphere of the event with purity and vividness. Today, we are riding on the wind and tomorrow the wind is powering the world. Wind powering the world China is among the top five countries in regards of the installation capacity. Wind turbines can be seen everywhere in China, on the foot of the snow-capped mountains, alongside the Gobi Desert, on the large grass land, and along the sea shore, making up a magnificent scene. From among the wind turbine photos taken in China by the Green Peace Organization and others, the organizers of this event have selected a few to entertain their guests with the theme of Wind Powering the World, hoping to encourage those who are or will be involved in the wind power industry to go steadfastly along this meaningful course
