Security is a condition to be protected against danger or threats. Safety is a condition to protect people or the environment against hazards of a plant. 2. Why was the IPPC Directive seen as an innovative community action? Zašto se ta direktiva IPPC smatra inovativnom akcijom društva? It represents the evolvement from a sector approach to an integrated approach. 3. What is MAPP? To whom it refers? Quote the source of this requirement. MAPP Major Accident Prevention policy, required by SEVESO II directive. The policy should be established by top management in relation with safety, in writing, and should include the operator s overall aims and principles of action with respect to the control of major accident hazards. The document is intended to give an overview of how the operator ensures a high level of protection for man and the environment.
