Item Details 1 Name of the project/s: Vijayanagar Sugar Private Limited, (Integrated Sugar Complex) Amendment to Environment Clearance for multiple option to treat spent wash (Incineration + Bio-Composting) along with existing sugar plant press mud during n-monsoon period of 270 days. 2 S.. in the schedule 5 (g) 3. The present proposal is request for issue of Amendment to Environmental Clearance for multiple options to treat spent wash (Incineration + Bio-Composting) along with existing sugar plant press mud i.e. Bio-Composting. Capacity of final product MT per annum. Since, ours is a 130 KLPD Distillery generating m3/day of raw spent wash at 12 14% solids. By using an integrated evaporator, we are currently reducing the volume of this spent wash to 650 m3/day (with 28 30% solids). Out of the total quantity of 650 m3/day spent wash (with 28 30% solids), we propose to use 200 m3/day for biocomposting and balance 450 m3/day spent wash fed into the independent multi effective evaporators (MEE 5 stage) for further volume reduction to 240 m3/day (with 58 60% solids).this reduction quantity of concentrated spent wash i.e. Slop will be incinerated in existing dedicated 32 TPH incinerated boiler. Process condensate recovered from evaporation plants will be utilizing for molasses dilution. Where the bio composting will be carried out as per CPCB regulations using the press mud from the existing sugar plant in the same premises. This is also a zero effluent discharge system permitted by the Central Pollution Control Board. Bio-composting will be carried out only during non monsoon period of 270 days. During the monsoon period entire quantity of spent wash from distillery will be concentrated in MEEs and incinerated in the 32 TPH incinerated Boiler. Process condensate recovered from evaporation plants will be utilizing for molasses dilution. 4. New/Expansion/Modernization The present proposal is request for issue of Amendment to Environmental Clearance for multiple option to treat spent wash along with sugar plant press mud i.e. Bio-Composting. This is a new proposal. 2
