5 With reference to the Ontario Toxics Reduction Act, the reduction objectives are outlined in Section 4 of this Plan Summary for the reportable substance Particulate Matter at Canadian Liquid Processors Limited. 3.0 SUBSTANCES REQUIRING PLANS The following substance requires a plan Particulate Matter based on 2015 Toxics Reduction Act accounting information. Particulate Matter is created as an unwanted by-product from the process of combustion, from cooling towers, from maintenance welding, from the removal of labels from bottles (as exhausted through a dustcollector) and from unpaved roadways. 4.0 OBJECTIVES OF THE PLAN & ANY TARGETS prides itself on technological innovation in order to produce high quality products in an environmentally responsible manner. We will strive to minimize the creation of Particulate Matter at the facility. Further, this plan will determine the technical and economic feasibility of each option to determine which, if any, are viable for implementation at this time. 5.0 OPTIONS TO BE IMPLEMENTED (OR STATEMENT THAT NONE ARE TO BE IMPLEMENTED) The following options have been identified for implementation to reduce the creation and releases of Particulate matter (PM2.5) and Particulate matter (PM10): No longer removing labels from crushed bottles This option has already been implemented through the 2016 calendar year, and thus the timeline is immediate. The combined reductions from the implementation of these options are summarized below.
