7 3.Solid Waste Management going to sanitary landfill The sanitary landfill currently occupies 4,5 ha, is situated 3 km away from the eastern side of the city and will soon be replaced by an expansion to the north, occupying 10 ha. The current landfill is almost full The new expansion will operate in 2013 will collect and purify the leachate will collect and burn the collected biogas 7
