1.0 INTRODUCTION Sand is an essential minor mineral used extensively across the country as a useful construction constituent and variety of other uses in sports, agriculture etc. It is common knowledge that minerals are non-renewable but this form of mineral naturally gets replenished from time to time in a given river system and is very much interrelated to the hydrological cycle in a river basin. Sand mining has become a widely spread activity and does not require a huge set up or technology, the number of ventures has increased extensively and it has become a foot loose industry in itself but the backward-forward linkages are becoming stronger as many are getting employed as well as the construction activity / industry requires this mineral at consistent rates. This mine is providing work to many rural people s and it is good for employment. 2.0 EXUCUTIVE SUMMARY has proposed ordinary sand mine project at Panam river, as the demand of raw material for the construction projects in all sectors highly increasing during past few years therefore project will provide and try to fulfill demand of ordinary sand in nearby area as well as around all state hactare area of land is under possession of At- Lagu Survey No. 3 Panam River Village - Ramji-ni-Nal Taluka- Shahera, Dist.- Panchmahal. As per the new guidelines issued by Department of Environment and Forest, Gujarat Pollution Control Board (GPCB) it is mandatory for project to obtain Environment clearance certificate from State Level Environment Assessment Authority (SEAA), Gujarat constituted by Ministry of Environment & Forest (MoEF), Government of India. As it is a new proposed project of ordinary sand and going to start production accordingly project proponent has submitted form-1, prefeasibility report and copy of approval letter from department of Geology and Mining, Government of Gujarat.

3.0 INTRODUCTION OF THE PROJECT/BACKGROUND INFORMATION 3.1 Name of proposed project : Registered Office : C/o K. M. Patel At- Ghantav, Post- Navamuvada Taluka- Lunawad, Dist.- Mahisagar Gujarat Location of Proposed Project : At Village Ramji-ni-Nal Lagu Survey No.- 3 Panam River Taluka- Shahera Dist.- Panchmahal Gujarat Name of Owner : K M Patel

3.2 Brief description of nature of project : It is propose plan of ordinary sand quarrying, contain ordinary sand which Will be used in construction work of infrastructure, road, railway and Building construction. 3.3 Need for the project and its importance to the Country and region : The ordinary sand mineral is used in various construction activities and will be sold to nearby markets to fulfill the requirements of the local people. In view to its important it is basic need of every construction and will be very important for the region as well as country. 3.4 Demand Supply Gap : As sand is used as raw material in construction of building and infrastructure project, the demand of sand is increasing day by day. In past demand of sand was did not too much but now a days due to rapid development, industrialization and urbanization its demand increasing rapidly with pace of time. At present demand of sand is more than supply. 3.5 Imports Vs. Indigeneous Production : Number of sand mines present in various parts of Panchmahal district in Gujarat, there is abundance of sand in the demanded area. It will have to become a major source for economy in the region. 3.6 Export Possibility : There is ban on sand export to other States in the Gujarat by State government so export possibility of river sand from this area is nil. Major Consumers of sand located in nearby area of district and surrounding districts of Gujarat.

3.7 Domestic / Export Markets : Sand produced is used locally as well as circulated all over the state. So it is clear that there is huge market of sand in the district. 3.8 Employment Generation (Direct and Indirect) : Mining project of river sand will be generate some employment for local people of rural area and their living standard also get improve by this river bed sand mining project. 4.0 Project Description : 4.1 Type of project including interlinked and interdependent project if any : This is opencast mining project. There is no interlinked or interdependent project based on mineral produced, mineral will be sold directly. 4.2 Location Map showing general location, Specific location and project boundary & project site layout with Coordinates: The project area falls in Ramji-ni-Nal village s lagu survey no. 3 in Panam River, Taluka- Shahera, Dist.- Panchmahal, Gujarat location of project area is as under

Availability of proper quantity of ordinary sand in riverbed is the basis of selecting the site and accessibility of area is other point which is also attract for selection of site. Sand is also replenished every year by river so it has no negative impact on environment as well as biodiversity. Considering these point project site is adequate for sand mining. 4.4 Size and magnitude of operation: It is B category manual mining project total area of quarry lease is and proposed capacity of project is MT/Year. It is located at Lagu Survey No. 3 Panam River, Ramji-ni-NalTaluka- Shahera, Dist.- Panchmahal, Gujarat.
