Abengoa s capabilities cover the entire chain of business-related activities: from engineering to operation and maintenance. Concessions Business development EPC Engineering Procurement and manufacturing Construction Operation and maintenance Financial structuring of major projects Experience and unique capabilities in financial structuring of major projects... transmission lines and substations, both AC and DC Cooperation with specialized financial institutions. Export Credit Agencies. Own resources and financial partners. Own team specializing in the management of resources and the development of financial models. Activities in the 5 continents. Approx. 5,000 employees dedicated to this activity. Unique capabilities in direct current: Various High Voltage DC (HVDC) projects worldwide. We operate the largest HVDC system in the world (4,750 km, Brazil). 11

12 Power transmission Activities We have an engineering network that provides services ranging from integrated structural engineering to the design of transmission lines and substations in both DC and AC Engineering Procurement and manufacturing Construction Operation and maintenance Specialized engineering in transmission lines and substations Engineering of metal structures (transmission towers) General engineering Permanent Abeinsa presence * DC: Direct Current; AC: Alternating Current 12

13 Power transmission Activities Factories for the manufacture of transmission towers with our own facilities for testing them. We are also able to obtain excellent terms and conditions for the purchasing of supplies through various companies specializing in the marketing of ancillary components. 14 Power transmission Activities Beginning in its early years, Inabensa has contributed to many large transmission line projects. We have forged a reputation as one of the sector s top companies, both nationally and internationally, based on more than half a century of experience and our work with major electrical operators. We undertake low, high and very high voltage projects (up to 800 kv) all around the world. Our company is active in Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania and the Americas, where we have participated in electrical projects from Mexico to Patagonia. We have the capacity to carry out projects of all types, ranging from those with a single project phase (study, engineering, supply or assembly) to "turnkey" projects in which we first analyse technical and economic viability and create the project from start to finish, passing through the design and complete implementation phases. 14

15 Power transmission Activities Comprehensive project Electrical study preliminary project Analysis of the line route and topography Tower design (using specific or standard towers) Optimized setting out through computer simulation Completion of definitive project Project administration and permit management Supplying materials Complete assembly (Civil works, Support structure assembly, Laying of cables) Maintenance Total maintenance Repairs and modifications Expansions and/or capacity increases Laying of all types of optical fiber cable Laying of cables Connections, splices Comprehensive optical fiber communications projects Live-line working (Bare hand, Hot stick) 15
