6 Aquifer Strage and Recvery Hlland in 80 s: ASR (Aquifer Strage and Recvery) was intrduced t cunteract the imbalance between demand and availability But many f the small-scale ASR systems failed in castal areas due t buyancy effects => Stimulatin f research and develpment f new innvative methds fr fresh water strage: SWS SWS principle based n ASR

7 SWS slutins SWS are new tls that cmbine technlgy with advanced grundwater management t prtect, enlarge, and utilize fresh grundwater resurces. Sphisticated new well designs, cnfiguratins, and management strategies were designed t btain maximum cntrl ver the water resurces. SWS can prvide rbust, effective, and cst-efficient slutins t manage freshwater resurces.
