Foil 3, 11/2014 Viessmann Manufacturing Muskoka Timber Mills - Project info Family owned business. Company started as a sawmill in Growth and expansion to harvesting, cutting, sawing, drying, milling and pre-finishing. Latest expansion - Timberthane Coated Siding. Supports responsible forestry members of: Rainforest Alliance. Trees Ontario. Forest Stewardship Council of Canada.

Foil 4, 11/2014 Viessmann Manufacturing Muskoka Timber Mills - Project info Production 6,000,000 board feet per year. 4 Nyle dry kilns (rotation). Paint room with production of 120,000 ft² per week. Wood residuals used for: Mulch for gardening. Sawdust and shavings for farms. Colored mulch for landscaping. Miracle mix for soil enrichment. Woodchips for pulp and heating.

Foil 5, 11/2014 Viessmann Manufacturing Woodchips production Existing 30 HP chipper on site. Invested in brand new 60HP grinder (it will ensure woodchips to fall through ¾ screener).

Foil 6, 11/2014 Viessmann Manufacturing Biomass system design Old system for existing buildings: Oil boiler (estimated efficiency of 60%). Hot water for heating and ventilation. DHW. Electric heaters for drying. New system for existing buildings and paint room: 220 kw biomass boiler (85% efficient). 250kW propane condensing boiler (>90% efficient). Hot water for heating and ventilation. DHW. Drying. Electric heaters for drying.

Foil 13, 11/2014 Viessmann Manufacturing Projected project savings Estimated total project cost is around $450,000 and includes: New woodchip grinder. Biomass boiler with accessories. Propane boiler. Thermal storage tank. Electrical work. Boiler room and civil work. Mechanical installation biomass. Mechanical installation paint room. Mechanical installation existing system. Long distance piping. Venting and new fans.

Foil 14, 11/2014 Viessmann Manufacturing Projected project savings System replacement will reduce tons of CO2 emissions per year CO2 Metric Tons/Year comparison acres of trees for sequestration average car annual CO2 emission= 5.1 t An acre of mature trees can capture 2.6 tons of CO2 per year or 130 tons of CO2 in 50 years period. Tree planning projects have average 450 trees per acre. One tree can capture pounds of CO2 per year. Canada produces 890,000,000 tons of CO2 per year. CO2-equivalent emissions figures from public sources. The figures are for illustrative purposes only and haven't been verified by Viessmann.
