Project Background Chiangmai Wastewater Treatment Plant Chiangmai Municipality - In 1993, construction of wastewater collection system Budget 490 mil. baht - In 2002, rehabilitation of wastewater collection system Budget 269 mil. baht - covering area to the west of Ping River approx. 20 km2 (total area 40 km2) - Responsible party to oversee the wastewater treatment Subdivision of Sanitary Works, Office of Engineering Works Chiangmai Municipality and WMA - MOU signed for the operation of WWTP of Chiangmai Municipality 15 year period (25Jun Sept 2027) WMA - Repair of equipment and machineries of the wastewater treatment system Budget mil. baht on 28 Jun 2013 (First Contract) - Additional Repairs and Additional of monitoring system Budget mil. baht (Second Contract) - Management of WWTP since 25 Jun Operation started Oct. 2014

3 Aug 10, 2017 meeting between WMA and Mae Kha Canal Rehabilitation Committee at Chiangmai City Hall in which 8 local administrative organizations presented progress and operations.
