There shall be no discharge of waste water outside the plant boundary. No additional land is acquired in excess of 144 Hac. for any activity related to Phase-I &II. Compliance in progress. WCL & SECL mines coal being utilized having ash content <34% and Sulphur content not exceeding 0.5%. A bi-flue stack of 220 m has provided to each phase. 04 nos. of CEMS are in operation to measure the real time PM SO 2, NO X and CO content along with physical parameter s in flue gas. Compact ESP s (COEBP) with adequate (=99.9%) collection efficiency has been installed in each unit to keep the particulate emissions within stipulated standards. Bags of Unit# 4 replaced during August Stack emission details are attached as annexure-i The fly ash stored in dry form in silos with adequate capacities. 100% fly ash is being supplied to Cement plants as per fly ash notification come into force time to time. (Please see annex. II) Agreed and compliance in progress. Agreed and compliance in progress. Waste Water is being treated in ETP & STP and further utilized in process, green belt development and dust suppression activities. 2 SIX MONTHLY ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE STATUS REPORT (PERIOD : OCT, 2017 to MARCH, 2018) Ref: J-13011/23/2007-IA-II (T) Dated: 17/07/2007 (as amended in the Year, 2013 & 2014) and J-13011/46/2007-IA-II (T) Dated: 21/11/ Regular monitoring of ground water quality including heavy metals shall be undertaken in the project area to ascertain the change, if any, in the water quality due to leaching of contaminants from the ash disposal area. 10 Noise levels shall be limited to 75 dba. For people working in the high noise area, protective devices such as earplugs etc. shall be provided. 11 A greenbelt shall be developed all around the plant boundary and ash pond area covering at least 1/3 rd of total project area of Phase-I & Phase-II. 12 Regular monitoring of the air quality shall be carried out in and around the power plant and records shall be maintained. The location of monitoring stations and frequency of monitoring shall be decided in consultation with State Pollution Control Board. Six monthly reports shall be submitted to this Ministry and its Regional Office at Bhopal. 13 For controlling fugitive dust, regular sprinkling of water in coal handling areas and other vulnerable areas of the plant shall be ensured. Ground water quality monitoring and analysis is being carry out in regular intervals in an around the project and waste disposal areas. Ground water Monitoring Report is enclosed herewith as Annexure III Noise levels are being regularly monitored in work place area as well as around project area. The monitoring results are within the prescribed limits. The turbine and generator are acoustically enclosed to restrict the noise levels at work zone within the permissible limits. However, protective devices have been provided to the workers working in the high noise areas. Green Belt developed in approx. 48 Hac area covering approx. 34% of total plant area.plantation is done all along the periphery of the plant premises as well as inside plant. Status of Greenbelt Development is enclosed as Annexure IV. Regular monitoring of ambient air quality is being carried out in the plant premises and in surrounding villages. Monitoring results are within the prescribed limits and submitted regularly to the MPC Board. Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Report is enclosed as Annexure-V For controlling fugitive dust emission, effective dust suppression system has been installed at coal storage yard, conveyor belt, along the sides of the internal roads and other vulnerable areas of AHP & CHP. 2 Page Six monthly Compliance Status Report (October, 2017to March, 2018)
