Who We Are Entsorga was founded in 1997 Successfully designed and built 7 Mechanical Biological Treatment facilities throughout the UK and Europe. Entsorga facilities process in excess of 1M tons of solid waste each year Successful development of a number of different waste treatment solutions Entsorga North America has the exclusive license of the HEBioT Mechanical Biological Treatment technology in the United States 1 st US Facility will be in Martinsburg, Berkeley County, West Virginia Groundbreaking ceremony took place in January 2016 Essroc Cement Company is the off-take partner

Where We Are The Wiltshire Facility, Westbury, UK Plant throughput 60,000 tons of MSW per year SRF Produced 29,040 tons per year

Where We Are The Deco Plant, Cheti, Italy Plant throughput 296,920 tons of MSW per year SRF Produced 130,680 tons per year

What s our Goal Reprocess to create a valuable commodity (SRF) Diverting waste from landfills Recycling usable metals Creating an alternative to fossil fuels

What We Do High Efficiency Mechanical Biological Treatment (HEBioT Process) Utilizes mechanical and biological treatments to convert municipal solid waste into an EPA recognized renewable fuel source called Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF) Does not combust the waste in the manufacturing process Uses a combination of automated sorting equipment, enhanced biological composting, and mechanical refinement Further removes recyclables

The Mechanical Biological Process MECHANICAL PRE-SCREENING Weight Loss through evaporation and oxidation 30-35% BIOLOGICAL TREATMENT MECHANICAL REFINEMENT AND SORTING Solid Recovered Fuel 30-50% Material recovery for recycling Metals, PVC plastics, Inerts, 3-10% Residuals landfilled 15-20% (can be beneficial reuse)

What s Our Process 1. Truck brings the MSW to the facility and dumps into the receiving pit. 2. Bags are pulled apart and waste falls onto conveyors for sorting 3. The material is sorted by size 4. Crane takes the waste to the biostabilization area for drying 5. After days material is taken by for further mechanical refinement 6. SRF potentially baled or blown into the transportation source.

What are the environmental benefits Achieve considerable landfill diversion Reduced reliance on expensive, finite fossil fuels Reduced carbon footprint. Displaces fossil fuels and their associated CO 2 emissions Produce an EPA recognized alternative Solid Recovered Fuel High calorific value one ton of coal is equivalent to approximately one and a half tons of SRF Municipalities seeking to comply with GHG reduction targets have made the use of SRF increasingly appealing Manufactured from consistent and sustainable supplies of MSW Can be baled, compacted, or shipped loose depending on the off-take customer s needs Can be transported via truck, rail, or by water Sustainable, Renewable Fuel

Quantifying the Benefits A sustainable fuel with 77% CO2e compared to coal Moisture content of 20% Approximately 60% of the energy of SRF is derived from carbon neutral biomass Lets do the math A ton of SRF produces tons of CO2e; a ton of coal produces tons of CO2e One ton of SRF will replace tons of coal (2.491 x.739 =1.84 tons CO2e from coal) = 1 ton of CO2e saved per ton of SRF used Sustainable, Renewable Fuel
