Identify opportunities for public transportation integration and partnering with the Airport to support employee and passenger utilization.

MOBILITY AND DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES Provide incentives to tenants to utilize electric vehicles. Champion the implementation of an Airport employee ridesharing program. Develop a program to encourage rental car and taxi companies operating at the Airport to increase the number of hybrid and/or alternative fuel vehicles in their fleets.

INITIATIVES MOBILITY AND DEVELOPMENT Consider opportunities to integrate natural elements into facilities. Include Green LEED Accreditation initiatives in building design and site construction. Prioritize multimodal design in future planning efforts. Develop with green alternative and efficient designs in mind.

INITIATIVES MOBILITY AND DEVELOPMENT Consider reuse of existing, previously occupied buildings, including structure, envelope, and elements. Identify opportunities to incorporate salvaged materials into building design and research potential material suppliers.

MOBILITY AND DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES Prepare a smart growth plan that considers mixed land uses, compact building design, pedestrian connections to buildings, and other green and sustainable initiatives for Airport growth. Decrease paved areas for future construction projects through airport non-wildlife friendly green landscaping. Build, Implement, and maintain a Sustainable Design Criteria Manual.

METRICS MOBILITY AND DEVELOPMENT Annual airport operations Annual number of commercial airlines Number of commercial services flights Number of available surface transportation options (Uber, Lyft, limo, taxi, bus, rail, etc.)

NATURAL RESOURCES

OBJECTIVES NATURAL RESOURCES Implement on-airport natural resources mitigation to protect species of concern while staying in compliance with the Wildlife Hazard Management Plan. Minimize adverse environmental impacts. Achieve a balance of development and environmental biodiversity values.

INITIATIVES NATURAL RESOURCES Develop and implement sustainable landscaping guidelines requiring low maintenance, drought tolerant, native plants that comply with the Wildlife Hazard Management Plan. Update future contract language to require the contractor to develop a plan to protect native vegetation when possible during construction activities. Install artificial turf to reduce maintenance labor and traffic, the presence of hazardous wildlife, and foreign object debris.

NATURAL RESOURCES INITIATIVES Continue to track potable water use at the Airport past baseline to track water conservation. Evaluate the potential for installing gray water or rain water collection and reuse devices in future expansions and renovations. Provide guidance to tenants for consolidated storage of materials and methods to minimize impacts to the environment.
