D.A. Glass America, along with DA Glass in Poland, conducts advanced research and applications in light optics used in renewable energy. Thanks to our use of nano-technology and chemical treatment to alter the structure of glass, we have obtained a visible increase in the amount of permeable light up to Td = 99.3%. D.A. Glass America applies a unique system to produce anti-reflective glass created by the Research & Development Center under the guidance of Dr. Waldemar Szcepanik in Poland. For the last few years, we have been one of two companies in the world capable of using chemical processes in large-scale production to change the way light is transmitted by glass. Our anti-reflective treatment increases permeable light and reduces reflective glare to the point where the glass is practically invisible.

The benefits The uses Eliminates reflective glare Improves amount of permeable light Incredibly mechanical & chemical-resistant Any thickness & size up to 3300mm x 2550mm Protects interior of buildings from unwanted energy flow in both directions Variety of types: Flat Laminated Textured Bent Special forms Solar Collectors Solar Batteries/PV Panels Window Glass with PV Capability *Please contact us directly for more information on this and other custom products. The processes The D.A. Difference Use of chemical processes in large scale production to change the way light is transmitted by the glass No use of coating, only chemical changes to the glass structure itself Nano-technology to raise low iron glass light transmission from 91% to 99.3% Single-sided and double-sided A/R processing capabilities Chemical processes, intellectual property, and equipment are proprietary Glass can be used anywhere, regardless of climate or environment Properties can be applied to curved/bent glass Drastically reduces costs of heating & cooling Gives engineers the ability to distribute color more freely Very durable, as the treatment lasts the lifetime of the glass First ever to use 2 mm diameter glass, creating higher efficiency and weighing less

Comparison Graphs D.A. Glass Float A/R Glass & Low Iron A/R Glass compared to untreated Float and Low Iron Glass

Comparison Graphs Low Iron Glass vs D.A. Anti-reflective Low Iron Glass We are the world s only producers and patent-holders of this unique technology in anti-reflective, chemically etched glass.

D.A. Glass America s A/R glass increases energy efficiency by up to 8% in solar collectors and up to 4% in solar batteries (PV panels), according to research conducted by the Fraunhofer Institute. It is worth noting that the 4% energy increase obtained by D.A. Glass in PV panels is highly significant on a global scale, considering the fact that researchers worldwide have only increased the efficiency of solar cells by 3% in the last 15 years. Type of Glass: D.A. Glass 103 Glass test symbol: PreGre

D.A. Glass NSTM System: NSTM Nano Selective Transmission Modeling is our next technological feat in modeling the amount of light transmittance possible, which can be increased in any range within 200nm of the light spectrum. This is achieved through changing the anti-reflective structure. For example, we have raised light transmittance by 1%, from 700nm to 900nm, with the aim of optimizing the performance of the glass cover and thereby increasing the amount of usable light in the range at which Optimizing the parameters in an anti-reflective surface applied to photo-voltaic systems Selective modeling of light transmittance adapted to solar cell parameters

Solar Collector Facts -Delivered 8% more energy than the top-performing low-iron glass on the market -Several versions of self-cleaning glass available for solar collectors -The glass concentrates solar energy on one or a few points, directly onto the reduced area of the collector s heat receptors. -Highly-reflective solar mirrors - in the form of concentrators - are resistant to weather conditions such as humidity, rain, and acid rain. -Single or multi-layer absorption layers, such as black chrome, titanium, and others with good heat-conductive properties, applied on aluminum, copper, and other metals, creating a wide variety of capabilities when applied by the sputtering method. Solar Battery Glass Facts -Provides 4%-6% more energy. -Several versions of self-cleaning glass available -Our patented NSTM+A/R system is capable of improving light transmittance and optimizing the performance of solar cells. -Thanks to our technology, for the first time ever, it is now possible to use 2 mm diameter glass, which was previously impossible. Higher efficiency and less weight on rooftops undoubtedly lowers construction requirements.

Comparison Photographs Three year exposure to all weather conditions and flower pollen Clear float glass no demonstrated resistance to grime and dirt Well-known and commonly available prismatic haze 30% and 55% - also faulty and collects grime. No self-cleaning ability. D.A. Glass kept in same conditions - no difference after 3 years in dirt and pollen. Rain can effectively clean our glass.
