1 T: Camern Baughen Frm: Maura Walker Date: January 20, 2011 Re: Slid Waste Survey This mem prvides a summary f respnses t the slid waste survey cnducted in Octber and Nvember 2010 The purpse f the survey was t get early input frm residents f the RDOS n their pinins f the current slid waste management system, slicit their ideas fr future services and prgrams, and t identify any public cncerns with slid waste. The survey als served as an educatinal tl n slid waste services and infrmed the public f the planning prcess. There were a ttal f 575 respnses frm acrss the regin. Based n the number f the respnses, the survey is cnsidered accurate within +/-4.1%, 19 times ut f 20. The results prvide a snapsht f the public s current level f satisfactin with waste and recycling services, as well as preferences fr future services. The survey was prmted thrugh the fllwing mechanisms: Mailing list Psters at public lcatins News release Newspaper advertising Radi public service annuncement Facebk advertising The RDOS and municipal web pages Offering a $100 dinner ut prize draw The fllwing is a summary f the survey results.
