1 Nrtheast Birmingham Area Framewrk Plan Plan - 3rd Public Meeting Summary The third and final public meeting regarding the fr the Nrtheast Birmingham Area Framewrk Plan was held at 6PM n May 16, 2016 at Our Lady f Lurdes Cathlic Church Gymnasium. Citizens frm all cmmunities within the planning area were represented. A ttal f 32 attendees signed in. This meeting was a fllw-up frm the secnd public meeting fr the Nrtheast Birmingham Area Framewrk Plan n January 12, The purpse f this meeting was t reveal the draft plan fr the fur cmmunities (Rebuck - Suth East Lake, Huffman, East Pinsn Valley, and Cahaba),as well as discuss prpsed Future Land Use amendments. The chapters in the draft plan include specific recmmendatins t address issues fr Cmmunity Renewal, Ecnmic Vitality, Green Systems, Transprtatin and Infrastructure, and Strategic Opprtunity Areas. New strategies and actins were made fr each chapter t reflect recmmendatins received frm the cmmunity at the previus public meeting. The meeting was pened by Mayr William Bell, and then a presentatin frm City f Birmingham Planner Wesley Vaughn was given. After the presentatin, attendees were encuraged t visit tables fr each chapter and sign up fr an implementatin cmmittee. Each table was staffed with at least tw planners frm either the City f Birmingham r the Reginal Planning Cmmissin f Greater Birmingham. This was the final public meeting fr the Nrtheast Framewrk Plan and everyne is encuraged t review the plan nce it is psted n www. imaginebham.cm in early-june f 2016 and prvide feedback.
