Here is a recap of the meeting including the move to DECON for decommissioning at FCS, and the extension for feedback for SD 7, Environmental Stewardship. 10/13/18: We re looking for feedback again on the Environmental Stewardship strategic directive. After reviewing your comments, we have modified the proposed changes. Comments can be submitted through Nov. 4th. 10/17/18: OPPD would like your opinion on how we measure our environmental stewardship. This strategic directive will help shape our renewable and carbon intensity goals. Please submit your comments by Nov /21/18: We want your input on SD 7, environmental stewardship. 7 General Themes/Considerations Establish a vision for 100% renewable energy/carbon-free future; keep renewable energy sales target. Include reduction targets for other air pollutants such as nitrogen oxide (NOx), sulfur dioxide (SO2), mercury (Hg) and carbon dioxide (CO2). Include annual total (metric tons) carbon emissions. Reliability and resiliency are important considerations. Energy sources should provide certainty and flexibility. Balance of affordability, reliability and sustainability is important.

OPPD is committed to operate in an environmentally responsible manner and to strive for the continuous improvement of its environmental performance. Therefore, OPPD shall: Conduct its business in a manner that, at a minimum, meets all environmental regulatory standards. Demonstrate accountability and transparency by measuring and reporting its environmental performance in support of applicable regulatory standards. Pursue a long term goal of 20% reduction in carbon intensity from 2010 through 2030 as measured by the Climate Registry Electric Power Sector Protocol. Strive toward a long-term goal of at least 50% of retail energy sales supplied from renewable energy sources. Develop and deliver innovative energy products, programs and services that help customers achieve their environmental goals. Participate and provide leadership in the development of national, state, and regional environmental policies and initiatives that support OPPD s mission. Manage internal operations to promote the efficient use of resources and minimize environmental impact.
