Operation and Maintenance (O & M) No moving parts and no electricity. Check the DO levels & bubble rate (if possible) in the injection well. Gas cylinders last days: (At 1 atm uses about 1 cu ft of O 2 /per day). Labor time to switch tanks(15-3 minutes). Use Snoop to test for leaks (3-6 fittings). Check Ground vaults; Cages; Sheds; Cabinets. Check filter periodically.

Should flooding of the isoc occur, due to interrupted O 2 flow, remove plug with ¼ allen wrench and drain.

General idea of typical Oxygen Consumption Each isoc uses approximately 15cc per minute*: - 15 cc/min per isoc unit x 144min/day = 21,6 cc/day. - 1cubic foot of oxygen = 28, cc. - 1-iSOC will use.77 to 1 cubic feet of oxygen per day. General examples of cylinder usage*: - 4 cubic foot cylinder (7 x 18 inches) will last approximately 4-5 days/per isoc per atm. - 8 cubic foot cylinder (7 x 32 inches) will last approximately 8-1 days/per isoc per atm cubic foot cylinder (9 x 51 inches) will last approximately days/per isoc per atm. * Oxygen usage is very site specific and can be calculated better using the excel form.

O&M Long term O&M is favorable versus ORC and air sparging Total 6-month pilot costs: Capital: $7,5, Analysis and Reporting:$7, Total oxygen costs for the 6-month pilot were $72 ($36 of which was in tank rental) Conclusions Diffusion contactors has been successful in stimulating enhanced bioremediation to control contamination levels in GW. One of the first MGP site in the nation to use diffusion O2 contactors. Combination of low O&M cost and effectiveness provides many benefits over other forms of O2 delivery.

PA. Bedrock Site Conclusions Conclusions Oxygen infusion has proven effective: In groundwater remediation of high level source area contamination Recalcitrant areas when pump and treat was ineffective due to selective areas of the site where low porosity conditions exist and, Biobarrier applications to manage plume migration toward sensitive receptors and, migration to on-site sensitive receptors from off-site contaminant sources

isoc Advantages Plug & Play technology. Has no moving parts. Will infuse any gas into a liquid. Supersaturates GW w/high DO. Powered by compressed gas. DO stimulates micro-organisms 24/7. Works in 2 well or larger. Installation is extremely simple. Easily moved to new injection wells. Very low annual O&M cost.

isoc Pricing Each isoc unit with the flow control contained within is: $425. plus shipping. The tubing manifold is included, which allows you to run 1-8 isoc s off one regulator. Items Supplied with isoc System: 1. isoc unit. 2. isoc flow-control valve (spare). 3. Distribution header complete with regulator connector, bleed valve and isoc valve connections. 4. Snoop Leak Detection Liquid filters (1 spare). 6. Six black hose clamps used at filter and isoc barb connections (3 spare). 7. Nylon collar with stainless steel hose clamp used at distribution header barb connection. 8. isoc tool for use when opening drain plug.

Accessory Pricing Oxygen Regulator: You will need a two-stage low flow oxygen regulator that reads from 2-1 PSI. The two-stage low flow regulator is needed to maintain constant pressure flow. Retail prices range from $2.-$3.. There are numerous web site listings or consult your industrial gas supply company. Polyurethane Tubing: You will need (.25 OD x 17 ID OR 6mm OD x 4mm ID) clear polyurethane tubing to connect the oxygen regulator (and oxygen cylinder) to the isoc unit. This material sells for about $.32/per foot and is readily available at major hardware stores. (Note: use Teflon tubing when infusing other gases). Oxygen Cylinder: For each installation, you will need one or more oxygen cylinders depending on setup design. Industrial gas supply companies rent the cylinders in varying sizes from $7.-$1. per month. Storage for the Oxygen Cylinder & Control Panel: Depending on your site conditions, you may want to place the oxygen cylinder and control panel inside a secure building or shed. Other options include ground vaults or manholes. (isoc has no moving parts and does not require electricity).

isoc Summary isoc is Versatile. Treat Source, Polish or stop off-site migration. Infuse any gas into a liquid. Site compatibility: Aerobic; Anaerobic; Cometabolic. isoc is Portable. No moving parts. No electricity. Easy to move to other injection wells. isoc is Affordable. Low annual O&M. Will last for several years and multiple sites. isoc is Effective. Delivers high DO 24/7.
