1 Summer Gravel Road Maintenance General Departmental Summary This quarter has been fairly routine. We have had no water main breaks in the past three months, however we have performed routine maintenance on several sewer service, water valves, hydrants, and curb stops. We welcomed the arrival of the new plow/sanding combination truck. A few capital projects have been completed, some are in production, and a number are preparing to start. Roundup June 18, 2016 Roundup June 18, 2016 In June we held the 5 th annual Reuse Fair and Roundup. The Roundup event successfully removes electronic, paint and hazardous household products from our landfill and diverts them to facilities that can properly dispose of such products. The Reuse Fair provides a location for citizens to trade used items. The items remaining at the end of the event are loaded into a dumpster and hauled to the local landfill. We are proud to say that this year we only sent one bin to the landfill.

2 The Operations Department closely communicates and works with the Operations Committee. The Operation Committee meets soon after each quarter end and discusses topics that have been delivered to the Director of Operations from the Operations Department, Council or directly from concern citizens. To date this year, the Committee has discussed twenty-five (25) topics in detail. As some topics require Council deliberations there are some topics that take multiple Committee meetings to reach a conclusion.
