1 Hauraki District Council Long Term Plan Capital Works Schedule Each year the Council undertakes work on its physical assets. This can include providing new assets or work on existing assets. We call these projects capital works. In the Hauraki Long Term Plan the Council provided a capital works schedule to be carried out for the ten years. This schedule is reviewed annually, during the Annual Plan process, to scrutinise spending and prioritise budgets to make way for projects that we believe give the most value to the public. For the 2016/17 year we have delayed some projects that are not yet needed, and brought forward other projects that are required earlier than we originally thought. The table below shows the comparison between what was originally projected in the Long Term Plan for 2015/16 and 2016/17 and the revised works for each activity projected for 2016/17. We show the works that involve changing the level of service we currently provide and those that involve renewals (replacement of assets to keep them performing at the same level). More background information on What s changed since the Long Term Plan can be found in the 2016/17 Annual Plan within each activity.
