2 14 16 SEPTEMBER 2015 DUBAI WORLD TRADE CENTRE A RECORD BREAKING YEAR 31% MORE VISITORS The 2 nd edition of GulfSol held from September 2015 at Dubai World Trade Centre exceeded all expectations attracting 3,123 devoted industry professionals looking to source solar products from 35 exhibitors. The event was endorsed by Ministry of Energy UAE and was held under the patronage of H.E. Suhail Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy UAE. The event was inaugurated by H.E. Saeed Al Tayer, MD & CEO, DEWA and other government officials. GulfSol was acquired by dmg events in September 2014 from Bowhead media and since then has recorded 54% annual growth YOY. It also saw the launch of a range of free to attend CPD certified workshops to add value for both visitors and exhibitors. SHOW AT A GLANCE In total, GulfSol welcomed 2,394 unique visitors from the solar industry, an increase of more than 31% from the previous edition. The highlight of this year s event was the launch of Global Solar Leaders Summit which brought together over 300+ global influencers, senior government officials, academia, private sector CEOs and global institutions to discuss the opportunities and challenges ahead of the wider solar energy market as the regions work towards achieving diversified and sustainable energy portfolios through ambitious renewable energy targets. Next edition: dmg events and Solar promotion have joined forces to form Intersolar Middle East event which will be held from September Next year the event is guaranteed to be bigger and with more educational content to attract even more buyers. 6 MARKETING AND PROMOTION RESULTS 37 S were sent to a targeted database of 130,000 industry contacts Google and Facebook advertising targeted to the GCC gave us a total of 2,013,609 IMPRESSIONS and 14,414 CLICKS A visitor invitation was mailed to 15,000 GCC based construction professionals The website attracted 26,151 unique visitors and 110,554 page views Trained telemarketers invited 1,200 solar professionals based in the GCC The show had a total of 10 media partners. The event was featured in 11 adverts and 8 editorial pieces WHAT OUR PARTICIPANTS HAD TO SAY EXHBITOR The exhibition enabled us to connect with decision makers and we received a great number of enquiries expressing interest in installing solar systems. By the year-end we expect to see these materializing for delivery of the systems.
