4 Evinox AcuMen Control System Environmentally-friendly smart homes Convenient remote control of home features Efficient management of energy sources Easy to implement with an attractive design Simple integration of renewable energy Low cost installation The Evinox AcuMen intelligent building control system can be used to manage heating and ventilation within the home. Sensors within the building and information from the internet give the control centre data inputs and tell it for example the temperature, humidity, energy consumption and even the weather. The system then interprets this information and communicates with and controls the devices in the home. By controlling heating and ventilation in rooms individually the system can reduce the amount of energy used and the cost of bills. The home is typically controlled by a choice of switches and additionally through wall mounted touch screens, hand held devices and any common web browser or PC.

5 Case Studies Octagon - Oak House WAD Developments - Mill Village Avicam - Cobham Octagon Developments Evinox have a long-standing relationship with Octagon Developments and are now supplying many varied types of heating and cooling solutions for the changing needs of the Luxury Home Developer. A recent luxury home built by Octagon North London, Oak House in Hadley Wood, embraced solar technology to provide heating and hot water for this project. Even on mild winter days, the solar collectors generate enough energy to provide most of the heating and the hot water for the home with the boiler isolated. For Octagon the ability of the system to generate a continuous high volume of hot water is paramount. This requirement is fulfilled by the high performance hot water production coils of the thermal store, which ensure that demand is met at all times. WAD Developments The prestigious multi million pound Mill Village development in Comber has been hailed as one of Northern Ireland s finest residential complexes and is certainly one of the most innovative in the Province. The project breathed new life into a historic landmark site with a programme of luxury conversions, sympathetically balanced with limited new build, all within a landscaped and gated environment. Evinox equipment was specified by White Young Green, thanks largely to the availability of a complete package that incorporates Evinox condensing THi boilers, fast recovery EBS tanks, controls and the unique Cascade flue systems. The Cascade flue enables one flue exit at roof level with 5 boilers, one on each level connected to a common 110mm flue riser.
