This course will present a live demo of a condi oned crawl space wall with a spray foam applica on. This will be followed by a field trip out to a local Senior center in which two condi oned crawl spaces with closed cell spray foam were completed. Hans Berg & Dave Crawford L I E A ASHRAE R V S ASHRAE Standard is the residen al ven la on standard. The Standard is a complete system from defini ons to system sizing to system design op ons. This in-field session will apply the standard to an actual house. The process of applying all parts of the standard and facilitate its applica on to real world situa ons. As houses get ghter, the need for mechanical ven la- on to insure indoor air quality increases and the interac on with other air hungry equipment like combus on appliances becomes more cri cal. Recognizing these converging issues, building codes are increasing their mandate to require and scru nize effec ve, mechanical ven la on systems in both new and exis ng homes. This Session is focused on ASHRAE Standard and how to comply. Paul Raymer & Paul Fransisco Evaluate the details of the house and determine the best solu ons for the whole building ven la on requirement; Apply the exis ng house Appendix A to adjust the required flow rate; Select the best solu on for the local ven la on requirements; Demonstrate how to test the installed systems; Create the documenta on; Determine the interac on between the ven la on system and other systems including
