5 DSM Programs are an important part of Dominion s portfolio available to meet customers growing need for electricity along with supply-side resources. Dominion defines DSM as all activities/programs undertaken to influence the amount and timing of electricity use. Demand-side resources encourage the more efficient use of existing resources and delay or eliminate the need for new supply-side infrastructure. Dominion s DSM programs are designed to provide customers the opportunity to manage or reduce their electricity usage. 5

6 Program Name Home Energy Check-Up Heat Pump Tune-Up Heat Pump Upgrade Duct Sealing Appliance Recycling Overview Customers receive a personalized report showing projected energy and cost savings for making recommended energy improvements. Incentives given based on measures implemented on the day of the check-up. Up to $250 Rebate Tune up existing residential heat pumps to achieve maximum operational performance. $90 Rebate Qualifying equipment must have a better SEER and Heating Seasonal Performance Factor (HSPF) rating than current minimum national efficiency standards. Rebate amount depends on the SEER/HSPF ratings of the new heat pump. Up to $250 Rebate Assess and seal poorly performing duct and air distribution systems. Benefits include reduced air leakage and improvement in indoor air quality. $125 Rebate Receive $50 for recycling a qualifying refrigerator or freezer. 6
