HOW TO USE additive levels are suggested between 1.5 and 5 wt%. These low dosages allow you to recover lost mechanical performance (tensile and impact) vs. standard, highly loaded PTFE compounds. It can be used in classical melt blending processes such as twin screw extruders. A physical blend with neat polymer pellets and feed in 0D are suggested. The additive is also suitable for direct dilution on injection press. It is highly recommended to keep melt temperature below 300 C to ensure proper performance.

The pictures below demonstrate the excellent abrasion resistance provided by after a wear test. Surface damage is clearly observed in PA-GF without additives (indicated by the red arrow). Material containing 3.3 wt% shows a very smooth surface with no visible wear traces, comparable to 15wt% PTFE. 5 The replacement of heavily loaded PTFE (15 wt%) with 3.3 wt% delivers a compound with performance close to that of the original formulation with no additives. Moreover, an improvement of about 30% in flowability compared to a PTFE formulation can be observed below.
