1 Ingersoll Rand Certified Green Teams 2011 Certifications and Profiles
2 Green Teams Take Action Worldwide About Green Teams Green Teams are Ingersoll Rand volunteer groups comprised of employees who are committed to reducing the environmental impact of their local facility by engaging with coworkers and local communities. For many years, Green Teams have made our workplaces and communities cleaner, healthier and more efficient. Members share knowledge and passion about environmental issues and drive projects that result in economic, social and environmental improvements. The events and projects implemented by Ingersoll Rand Green Teams contribute greatly to achieving enterprise wide Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) and Operations goals. Interest amongst employees is growing; Ingersoll Rand has doubled the number of teams in 2011 and is on track to double again in 2012, with aspirations to steadily grow until all facilities worldwide have a Green Team. The Center for Energy Efficiency and Sustainability (CEES) at Ingersoll Rand supports and enables the advancement of Green Teams by providing tools, information and expertise. Visit cees.ingersollrand.com. Earning Green Team Certification Ingersoll Rand Green Teams are guided by a document that outlines criteria for achieving certification. Following these guidelines ensures consistency across divisions and geographic regions, as well as implementation of meaningful, measurable activities that are relevant to each location. The entire process is governed by an Advisory Council who evaluates each team s actions and awards certifications. Ingersoll Rand Green Team Certification Levels Beginning Evaluating Improving Succeeding Leading Certified Silver Gold Platinum For each certification level, criteria within the three elements of sustainability must be met: 1. Environment projects completed, in process and planned 2. Economics metrics and reporting 3.
