Green Fuel Nordic Corporate Presentation year 2014
2 Content 1. Corporate Facts Mission Vision Strategy Finland Roadmap 1. Biorefinery Template Standard Biorefinery Lay-Out Production Process 2. Applications for Bio-Oil Application Roadmap Industrial and Transportation Fuels Summary
Green Fuel Nordic Oy (GFN) is a Corporate with strong partners and sound strategy 3 Mission We offer a lucrative and local alternative to fossil fuels. We are a frontrunner in refining secondgeneration liquid biofuels. Vision We are the most successful refiner of local liquid biofuels in our market areas Strategy Our strategy communicates how we will achieve our vision. Green Fuel Nordic s strategy has six main areas: 1. Controlled and profitable growth 2. Markets most effective biorefinery project implementation in collaboration with technology suppliers 3. Advanced operational know-how of biorefineries 4. Competitive and sustainable sourcing of feedstock 5. Competitive alternative to industrial energy production, and strategic, long-term partnerships 6. Commercialization of new applications for liquid biofuels Iisalmi Lieksa Kuopio Savonlinna site unit Helsinki
Standard Biorefinery Lay-out 4 Standard Biorefinery lay-out All projects are done using standard lay-out Each location have either one or two separate biorefineries (= units) What is common for all biorefineries Optimized layout Biomass handling system Fast Pyrolysis System Bio-oil storage system EIA system Auxiliary systems and Balance of Plant Building architecture Mill area logistics Standard lay-out for two units
5 Production Process Pyrolysis process shall be based on RTP TM technology that is called Fast Pyrolysis System. The production process is divided into three separate modular parts. Delivered raw wood is taken into biomass handling system that will dry the material and chip it to correct size. Drying will use flue and byproduct gasses from Fast Pyrolysis System as a fuel for drying. The bio-oil, produced by RTP TM process, is a sustainable liquid fuel produced by a thermal process known as fast pyrolysis, which is the rapid heating of biomass in the absence of oxygen. The process utilizes a circulating transported bed that incorporates both a bubbling bed for heat supply and a fully transported bed for the pyrolysis reaction. The bio-oil storage system consists of tanks for storing and distributing produced bio-oil
