11 Regulatory Framework Regulatory conditions have to adjust to needs of Energiewende : - Grid fees - Capacity market? - Standard load profile vs flexible prices - Stroage bonus - Exemption from EEG? Already existing new conditions for new storage options like e.g. Electrolysers: - Exemption of electricity tax on application ( 9a Abs. 1 StromStG) - Exemption from grid fees (variable part) for 20a ( 118 Abs. 6 S1 EnWG) Funding of R&D- Demo-Projects through BMWi, BMU, BMVBF, EU 11 Hydrogen link between renewables and transportation Dr. Oliver Weinmann

12 Conclusion New Energy landscape: load follows production grid extension, flexibilisation of existing PP, Smart grids & storage Storage allows for easier integration of renewables No silver bullet : but H 2 is promising for large energy quantities Electrolysis is technical viable but still room for improvements New applications for electrolyses (control power, storage, DR..)
