23 IF TECHNOLOGY PORT REFERENCES Implementation of ATES Realization of ATES Development port area Amsterdam We have facilitated spatial planning of ATES projects A feasibility study has been performed to determine the economical and technical feasibility of heating with waste incineration and cooling with ATES/surface water Support in getting permits, preparing design and the monitoring of three ATES systems Development of an integrated climate system with ATES We have obtained the water permit for groundwater abstraction and injection Design of the ATES system and supervision during the project The actual energy savings are 50% At the request of Shell, we have developed a plan for sustainable energy in the port of Amsterdam ATES has been selected as a promising technology We have supported the realization of ATES The actual energy savings are 50% 40% of primary energy savings have been achieved
24 IF TECHNOLOGY AVIATION REFERENCES Geothermal energy services Feasibility studies have been done on: deep geothermal heat and electricity district cooling with ATES and drinking water pipelines We have prepared designs of several ATES systems for Airport Terminals and Real Estate Monitoring of ATES performance Development of ATES at Beijing airport A design has been prepared for an office at the Beijing Airport in China Permits have been obtained to perform drilling A test drilling has been performed and the hydrogeological conditions have been investigated The results show good opportunities for the implementation of ATES ATES implementation We performed a test drilling to investigate the hydrogeological conditions An environmental limpact study has been done to show the effects of ATES A well field design has been set up for ATES spatial planning Supervision of drilling during realization
25 DEERNS AVIATION REFERENCES 50 year partner Runway heating Integrated apron design Deerns has been actively engaged Developing a methodology to use New Apron Systems allow for a with Amsterdam Airport Schiphol an asphalt heat collector intended significant decrease of plane since Deerns has been to accumulate solar heat from the exhausts. Integrated design is involved in practically every small asphalt of runways during the most efficient. Our specialty is and large project. We are summer to re heat them in winter implemented at e.g.: responsible for the MEP, energy Schiphol (Netherlands) and special systems. This includes Abu Dhabi (UAE) the development of the terminal Kuwait (Kuwait) (facilities) and airside systems Gibraltar (Great Biti Britain) Viracopos (Brazil)
26 DEERNS URBAN REFERENCES Greenest Capital of the World: Dehsabz City heating The Hague Seawater air conditioning Netherlands Antilles Deerns and French architect AS were involved in a study which entailed a CO 2 neutral power supply design and an implementation concept for the new Dehsabz city, projected to have 2 million inhabitants. The study proved the concept was feasible For Duindorp, a part of The Hague, a new energy concept was developed. The concept retrieves heat from seawater. The houses each have a heat pump that produces the heat for heating and By using seawater from a depth of approx. 700m with a temperature of 6 8 C to provide the HVAC installation with cooling power, the electricity demand of the cooling system is reduced by approx. 80 %. This reduction has a warm drinking water Efficiency of 1500% major impact on the total electricity demand
