3 AIR Committee Bylaws Mission 1. Facilitate the completion and update of the air quality studies and necessary planning activities for attainment under the current 8 hour ozone NAAQS; and 2. Develop a comprehensive emission reduction plan that will guide our region's actions to attain the 8 hour ozone NAAQS. Goals 1. Provide a list of clean air strategies and combinations which will achieve attainment within the required time frame; and 2. Work directly with the TCEQ on technical analysis and control strategy development, including preparation and approval of the SIP for our region. Objectives 1. Complete the required planning materials: transportation network emission inventory, general emissions inventory and regional photochemical modeling; 2. When published, review EPA's proposed requirements and implementation of alternativeairqualityclassification air choices; and 3. Provide public information and seek public input relating to current and future measures to improve air quality.
