In 1982, Alpha Engineering Services recognized the value of harnessing the power of the sun and collaborated with the National Engineering Research and Development Center of Sri Lanka (NERD) to develop a solar water heating system that would play a pivotal role in the area of energy conservation in Sri Lanka.
