3 Bord Gáis Networks Overview Established in 1976 Bord Gáis Networks, on behalf of Gaslink, develops, operates and maintains Ireland s natural gas network and provides transportation services to all gas suppliers and shippers. Connects all new gas customers to the network and is responsible for work on service pipes and meters at customer premises. Manages a full 24-hour emergency response service and attends over 20,000 reported gas escapes annually with an average response time of 25 minutes. Expanding into new gas industry areas including natural gas vehicles, renewable gas and smart metering.

4 Ireland s Gas Network Bord Gáis Networks has developed a world-class gas infrastructure in Ireland comprising: An Interconnector System linking Ireland to the UK & Continental gas markets 2,149 km Transmission pipeline network 11,160 km Distribution pipeline network ~170 AGIs, ~800 DRIs There are more than 647,000 gas users in Ireland in over 157 population centres within 19 counties throughout the country

5 Gas in Transport We are currently supporting the objective of Gas in Transport as a sustainable alternative to diesel and petrol. Compressed Natural Gas (CNG): supplied via the existing gas network offers operators a lower cost alternative with lower emissions and retains reliable performance. offers an ideal opportunity to migrate to renewable biogas as new sources become available on the network. 11 CNG provides pathway to Biomethane Renewable Transport National target: Renewable Transport (RES-T) -> 10% by 2020 Biomethane can form part of the solution for RES-T Sweden: 65% of gas used in transport comes from biomethane Germany: Focus on biomethane and investing in the CNG infrastructure % of 850 CNG refuelling stations had 10% biomethane at the dispenser Aim for 20% biomethane at all dispensers by 2020 CNG can facilitate the development of biomethane industry in Ireland 11
