10 Biorefinery units UP-STREAM Objective: Conditioning and pretreatment of herbaceous and woody biomass in order to do a conversion of biomass in a fermentable carbon source Equipment Overview: Solid biomass storage (4 x 35 m 3 ) Mills for herbaceous and woody biomass (200 kg/h) Extractor with vapour (3 m 3 ) Two-step Steam Explosion Reactor (400 l, up to 21 barg) Solid/liquid separators (15 m 3 /h)
