6 A taste for innovation We supply industrial gases to many customers which help them become more efficient and sustainable. Take our gases for Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) and Freshline solutions. These products provide high-purity gases and equipment to chill and freeze everything from shrimp and chicken to baked goods, fruits and vegetables, and ice cream. This innovative application extends the shelf-life of food, improves the quality, reduces waste, and helps to keep production costs down. 11 We re doing our part for the environment in many ways. We make huge quantities of hydrogen for petroleum refiners to lower the sulfur content of their gasoline and diesel fuels. We re also a leader in hydrogen fueling infrastructure, helping to build the hydrogen economy. We ve long been the main player in another clean fuel area, liquefied natural gas (LNG). And we remain a global leader in air separation plants, hydrocarbon recovery and purification equipment, and helium distribution equipment. 9
