8 What we do at Colas Colas works in every field of transport infrastructure construction and maintenance, through two operating divisions: Roads, the Group s core business, which account for more than 80% of its revenue, and additional Specialized Activities which expand the Group s product and service offering. Roads Roads Construction and maintenance of roads, highways, runways, ports, logistics hubs, urban development, reserved lane public transport networks for buses and tramways, recreational facilities, environmental projects, etc., along with civil engineering (smalland large-scale structures) and building (construction, renovation, deconstruction) in certain regions Production and recycling of construction materials via a tight-knit global network of 700 quarries and gravel pits, 130 emulsion plants, 530 asphalt plants, 200 concrete plants, and two bitumen production units. These units produce aggregates (96 MT), emulsions and binders (1.7 MT), asphalt mix (40 MT), ready-mix concrete (2.6 Mm 3 ), and bitumen (1 MT) Figures from 2014

9 Colas also has a full range of expertise in complex contracts (concessions, PPP, PFI, long-term contracts) involving the financing, design, build, maintenance, management and operation of infrastructure for roads, highways, railways, airports, tramways, along with city streets and lighting. As such, Colas is a stakeholder, usually for a minority share, in infrastructure concession and management companies. Specialized Specialized activities Railways: construction, renewal and maintenance of rail networks (high speed and conventional lines, tramways, metros) Waterproofing: production of impervious membranes, and work involving roofing, siding, cladding, waterproofing of buildings, sidewalks, roadways and floors with mastic asphalt Road Safety and Signaling: manufacturing, installation, maintenance of road equipment (safety, signing, road marking, traffic management) Pipelines: installation and maintenance of pipelines for fluids (oil, natural gas, water) and dry networks (electricity, heating, telecom) Production and sales of refined products

R&D teams focus on: environmental protection issues, in particular saving energy and materials and reducing carbon impact reducing traffic noise road safety making for better living environments controlling infrastructure maintenance costs Colas is thus able to provide its customers with innovative products, solutions, and processes that have been designed to meet their specific needs: warm mixes, cold in place recycling, plant-based binders and fluxes, eco-designed road marking products, noise-reducing mixes, porous mixes, heavy-duty skid resistant surfacing, translucent binders, colored surfacing, surface dressings, anti-crack products, etc. Above and beyond these techniques, the people at Colas are working on the Energy-plus Road of the Future, which will also communicate with users.
