13 NEW PROMOTIONS ANNOUNCED December Updates to Standard and Custom Incentive Program: 1) Waive $300,000 building cap for all facilities. The IL ENERGY NOW Standard and Custom Incentive Programs are waiving the $300,000 building cap for all facilities. If possible, break up large projects into multiple applications not to exceed $150,000 each. 2) For all school buildings, State, and Federal facilities which have never participated in the Standard and Custom Incentive Program, the incentive cap is lifted from 75% of the Total Project Cost to 100% of the Total Project Cost. Total Project Cost = Equipment + Labor. 3) All LED Streetlight upgrades are now $0.30 kwh. (Please distribute attached LED Streetlight Application to Trade Allies). 4) Free Boiler Tune-ups for Schools. 75% incentive cap removed for Boiler Tune-Ups in Public Schools, $1,500 limit. School hasn t received an IL ENERGY NOW rebate for Boiler Tune-Up in the last 36 months. 14
14 MUNICIPAL STREET LIGHTING INCENTIVE Elevate Energy offers an incentive program for municipalities to upgrade municipally-owned street lights to energy efficient LED technology. Incentive Amount: $0.30 /kwh saved Elevate Energy also offers free assistance with the planning process and submittal of DCEO applications. Contact: Mary Jo Warskow, Technical Projects Coordinator or

34 TOP TEN ENERGY STRATEGIES Loads 1. Lighting 2. Plug Loads (computers, heaters) Heating, Ventilating, & Air Conditioning 3. Ventilation (reduction, heat recovery) 4. Heating, Cooling (condensing boilers) 5. Motors & Pumps (VFDs, turn off) 6. Building Automation 7. Commissioning EXTRA CREDIT: After implementing all of these, consider renewables such as solar and wind. Building Envelope 8. Air Sealing 9. Insulation (roof deck, walls unlikely) 10. Windows (likely very expensive)
35 EXTRA CREDIT Renewables: Plan the infrastructure now for future Select site-appropriate technologies Use to take last step to net-zero Consider a Power Purchase Agreement 37
