11 Over 100,000 Applicants microfit program overview If you are developing a small renewable energy project, the microfit Program provides a streamline way for you to connect your project and receive payment for the electricity you produce and send to the province s electricity distribution system (i.e., the grid ). There have been over 100,000 applications submitted since the start of the program. Project Participants eligible for the microfit program will receive: a long term contract for the payment of electricity produced from the renewable energy project a fixed price for the full term of the contract.
