18 Annexures of Introduction Sri K. Ravi Shankar proposes to conduct opencast fully mechanised method mining for Quartz mine in an area of ha in Survey No.100, Odulapalli Village, Talpula Mandal, Ananthapuramu District, Andhra Pradesh. In principle of application notice issued by Department of Mines and Geology, Government of Andhra Pradesh vide letter no. 9130/R4-1/2016 dated Mining plan approved by the DDMG, Kurnool vide letter no. 2621/MP-ATP/2017 dated The proposed production of Quartz is Tons/Annum. Capital cost proposed for the mining will be approximately Rs. 100 Lakhs. Mine Location The mine lease area falls in the Survey of India topo sheet no. 57 J/3 with the co-ordinates of Latitude 14 17'50.10"N and Longitude 78 07'50.40"E with a highest elevation of 563 m. The nearest village Gondipalli located at a distance of 1.0 Km from the Mine lease Boundary area in Southwest direction. The nearest town is Kadiri located at a distance of 18.6 km in South direction. Railway station is Kalasamudram at a distance of 9.2 kms in Southwest direction. Ananthapuramu to Kadiri Highway road is passing at a distance of 8.2 km from the QL area in SW direction. The lease area can be accessible through a cart track from Gondipalle village. Kokkarajukonda RF is at a distance of 1.4 km in NE. Nigadi Extension RF is at a distance of 4.0 km in South. Dorigallu RF is at a distance of 5.2 km in North. Seasonal Madduleru River is passing at a distance of 6.0km in SW. There is no national park, wildlife/bird sanctuary, critically polluted area and Interstate boundary within 10km radius from the mine lease areas. Drilling and blasting is required for the excavation of the mineral and to remove the adjacent rock. The drilling will be conducted by using the jack hammer drill machine. The blasted material will be loaded into dumpers by using JCB machine/excavators and transported to the dumping yard and quartz will be sent to consumers. In this mine we will be using mineral separation plant. Geological and Recoverable Reserves The exposed out crops depth and the adjacent mine workings 60m below the surface are considered under proved category of reserves and 10 below the proved reserves are considered under probable resources. As per UNFC guidelines the G3 (333) possible category are not considered as they are not mineable unless proved by exploration on the continuation of the deposit. The estimation of reserves is made on the basis of cross sectional method with sectional influence of 80m to 140m. 21 Annexures of ANNEXURE II Drilling and Blasting The method of mining is opencast fully mechanized method. It is proposed to use machinery for extraction of mineral from its body, jack hammer will be used for drilling to a depth of 6 m, slurry based explosives and safety fuse will be used for blasting. The blasted ore and waste will be loaded into trucks by using JCB. Drilling dia 115m, depth is 11m. Burden and Spacing 3.5m and 4m Drilling During the mine plan period, the maximum handling estimated is about Tons/Annum. 22 Annexures of ANNEXURE - III Water Requirement Water requirement of 24.4 KLD for the project is mainly for drinking, maintaining the green belt, wet drilling and also for sprinkling on the haulage roads to mitigate dust emissions. The water shall be drawn from nearby villages/mine Discharge/Rain water harvesting. The water requirement of the project is presented in Table A.9. Table A.9 Water Requirement S. 23 Annexures of ANNEXURE IV Solid Wastes Generation and Management Plan The quantity handled during plan period will be Tons of waste. Dump area About 1.2 ha of area is selected for dump yard with an average height of 20 m in East and West side part of the mine lease area. During lease period dump area is m 2 with a height of 20 m. A Toe-wall will be constructed around the dump to preventing the slanting of boulders and also garland drainage will be provided. A-8
