CHART & LOCATION) PARKING STATEMENT: Approximately 510 Nos. of four wheelers, 2030Nos. of two wheelers & 2010Nos. cycles are proposed in the residential complex. Internal circulation pattern will be so as to avoid any congestion within the complex. Parking space will be allotted within the campus. (REFER ANNEXURE VI PARKING AND TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT PLAN) 1.3.What are the likely impacts of the proposed activity on the existing facilities adjacent to the proposed site? (Such as open spaces, community facilities, details of the existing land use and disturbance to the local ecology). Although it is a construction activity, its impact on air quality, water quality, noise and soil will not be notable. As a matter of fact this activity will have positive impact, on socioeconomic culture of people residing in the vicinity of the proposed area. There will not be any disturbance to the local ecology as the selected site for the construction is a barren land. The project site and the surrounding area are not developed. The plantations, which would be grown in the residential area, will be helpful in increasing green cover of the area. This would also increase avifauna in the area. 1.4.Will there be any significant land disturbance resulting in erosion, subsidence & instability? (Details of soil type, slope analysis, vulnerability to subsidence, seismicity, etc may be given). Generally, soil types found in Pune district are black, copper, red, & paddy soil. Soil blends of variable properties are modified by sand, gravel, lime salts, & other ingredients. (REFER ANNEXURE III - CONTOUR PLAN)

6 1.5.Will the proposal involve alteration of natural drainage systems? The treated sewage will be recycled for flushing and gardening and surplus will be connected to pond. (REFER ANNEXURE IX SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT- SCHEMATIC PLAN & PLAN) DESIGN BASIS This Sewage treatment plant has been designed to treat the domestic wastewater generated in the project of Kesar Tree Town at Moshi, Pune having following characteristics: Design Basis: a) Plant Capacity: 625m 3 /day b) Technology: MBBR DESIGN PARAMETERS: (REFER ANNEXURE IX SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT- SCHEMATIC PLAN) 2.14 Give details of dual plumbing system if treated waste is used for flushing of toilets or any other use. The sewage will be collected from 1000 tenements m 2 commercial area. The quantity of sewage is about 84.35% of domestic water consumption. The waste water generated from the proposed activity shall be domestics. Sewage will be treated in the sewage treatment plant

11 of 625m 3 /day. The treated sewage partly recycled for flushing & partly connected to Municipal Sewer line. 3. VEGETATION 3.1. Is there any threat of the project to the biodiversity? (Give a description of the local ecosystem with its unique features, if any) There will not be any threat of the project to the biodiversity. The selected site for project is a barren land. The project proponents have proposed a landscape development plan, which includes planting of flowering and shady trees, shrubs and lawn within the plot Will the construction involve extensive clearing or modification of vegetation? (Provide a detailed account of the trees & vegetation affected by the project) No. Selected site is a barren land. However, the project site will cover the flowering plants, lawns. The open spaces inside the plot will be suitably landscaped and covered with vegetation What are the measures proposed to be taken to minimize the likely impacts on important site features (Give details of proposal for tree plantation, landscaping, creation of water bodies etc along with a layout plan to an appropriate scale) The site presently is a barren land with no important site features. All the existing drain lines and trees will be retained and conserved. Landscaping and Tree Plantation Landscape area m 2 Total no. of trees to be planted 266 Nos. Prescribe measures such as corridors, fish ladders etc to mitigate adverse impacts on fauna The proposed project will not have any adverse impact on the flora or fauna. 5. AIR ENVIRONMENT 5.1. Will the project increase atmospheric concentration of gases & result in heat islands? (Give details of background air quality levels with predicted values based on

12 dispersion models taking into account the increased traffic generation as a result of the proposed constructions) As this will be a Residential & Commercial complex, air pollution is not expected to be a major concern What are the impacts on generation of dust, smoke, odorous fumes or other hazardous gases? Give details in relation to all the meteorological parameters. During construction phase, suspended particulate matter, dust, will be the main pollutant, which could be generated from site development activities and movement of vehicles. Odorous fumes or hazardous gases generation is not expected. Concentration of SO 2, NO 2 and CO may rise a little due to traffic. Proper upkeep and maintenance of vehicles, sprinkling of water on roads and construction site and providing sufficient vegetation all around the plant site are some of the measures that would reduce the impact during construction phase Will the proposal create shortage of parking space for vehicles? Furnish details of the present level of transport infrastructure and measures proposed for improvement including the traffic management at the entry & exit to the project site. Approximately 510 Nos. of four wheeler, 3010Nos. of two wheelers & 2010Nos. of cycle proposed within the complex will ensure no traffic congestion outside the campus. Measures proposed for traffic management at the entry and exit to the project site are: Maintaining flow of traffic for approach roads Entry and Exit points carefully placed so as not to disturb this flow. Easy fire tender movement and around the complex ensuring accessibility to every building. (REFER ANNEXURE VI PARKING AND TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT PLAN) 5.4. Provide details of the movement patterns with internal roads, bicycle tracks, pedestrian pathways, footpaths etc., with areas under each category. Area of drive way will be 6 m wide Will there be significant increase in traffic noise & vibrations? Give details of the sources and the measures proposed for mitigation of the above. The proposed activity being of residential type will not cause a notable increase in the noise and vibration during operation. Sources of noise Pollution during construction phase are machinery like compressor, Compactors, Concrete Plant, Cranes and transportation materials. Mitigation measures: The project proponents have agreed to take precautions to control noise pollution as mentioned under: Use of equipment generating noise of not greater than 90 db (A). High noise generating construction activities would be carried out only during daytime. Also, adequate parking space will be provided to avoid crowding and noise pollution Installation, use and maintenance of mufflers on equipment. Workers working near high noise construction machinery would be supplied with ear muffs/ear plugs.

13 5.6.What will be the impact of DG sets & other equipment on noise levels & vibration in & ambient air quality around the project site? Provide details. Source Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) During Construction Phase: Sources of noise pollution during construction phase are machinery like Earthmoving Machinery, Mini Hoist Crane, Mixer, Lift lade, JCB, Dumpers, Compressors and transportation materials These machineries will be used only day time. Canopies will be provided to these mechanical devices to reduce noise & vibration. Maximum mitigation measures such as regular maintenance or overhauling etc. During Operation Phase: There will not be any considerable impact on the ambient air quality around the project site as CPCB approved DG sets along with acoustic room will be developed and plantation will be provided. 6. AESTHETICS 6.1 Will the proposed constructions in any way result in the obstruction of a view, scenic amenity or landscapes? Are these considerations taken into account by the proponents? No. Proposed construction will not result in obstruction of a view, scenic amenity or landscapes Will there be any adverse impacts from new constructions on the existing structures? What are the considerations taken into account? Not Applicable Whether there are any local considerations of urban form & urban design influencing the design criteria? They may be explicitly spelt out. No 6.4. Are there any anthropological or archaeological sites or artifacts nearby? State if any other significant features in the vicinity of the proposed site have been considered No 7. SOCIO-ECONOMIC ASPECTS 7.1 Will the proposal result in any changes to the demographic structure of local population? Provide the details. Critically analyzing the socio-economic baseline in the context of the proposed project, the impacts of the project could be variable in nature. The proposed project does not involve any displacement of inhabitants.

14 During construction 50 workers will be provided temporary shelters at the site. After completion of the project, there will be influx of 5000 Residential population and 118 Commercial population people in the area. The population of the area is likely to increase Give details of the existing social infrastructure around the proposed project. This project has proposes of Residential and Commercial Complex by M/s Kesar Vighnaharta Group coming up at Moshi, Pune. This area is rapidly developing Will the project cause adverse effects on local communities, disturbance to sacred sites or other cultural values? What are the safeguards proposed? It could be seen that the overall impact on Socio-Economic Environment is positive and permanent in nature. The impacts on socio-economic environment due to the proposed Projects are as follows, Possible source of income for this community are direct like Construction and various job works in complex Improvement in transport, communication facilities. Improvement in lifestyle & social status etc. Increase in revenue generation Due to the proposed project, facilities are likely to grow in line with the development. 8. BUILDING MATERIALS 8.1. May involve the use of building materials with high-embodied energy. Are the construction materials produced with energy efficient processes? (Give details of energy conservation measures in the selection of building materials and their energy efficiency) Conventional construction materials used from nearest source to minimize energy consumption for transportation Transport and handling of materials during construction may result in pollution, noise & public nuisance. What measures are taken to minimize the impacts? During construction phase, sources of noise pollution will be due to operation of machinery like compressors, compactors, concrete plant, cranes etc. as well as transportation vehicles. This will cause nuisance to the occupants of the nearby area. The project proponents have agreed to take precautions to control noise pollution as mentioned under: i) Use of equipment generating noise of not greater than 90 db (A). ii) High noise generating construction activities would be carried out only during day time. iii) Installation, use and maintenance of mufflers on equipment. iv)workers working near high noise construction machinery would be supplied with ear muffs/ear plugs Are recycled materials used in roads and structures? State the extent of savings achieved?

15 Solid waste that would be generated due to excavation will be in the form of rubble and soil. This soil and rubble would be used for development of landscaping. Construction debris will be reused for backfilling of roads and other construction Give details of the methods of collection, segregation & disposal of the garbage generated during the operation phases of the project. Solid waste generated in the campus is domestic type having source separated dry and wet components. As far as possible the dry waste like paper, cardboard boxes, thermocol packing, plastics etc. shall be sent for recycling purpose. However, wet waste, which is biodegradable, shall be converted to bio-compost adopting following aerobic composting method. The quantity of biodegradable waste generated is about 1512 Kg/Day. The Organic Waste Composter will be used for composting of solid waste. A) For Residential + Commercial B) Quantity of the solid waste Kg/Day C) Quantity of the wet waste 1512 Kg/Day D) Quantity of the dry waste 1018 Kg/Day Biodegradable and non biodegradable waste will be generated. Dry waste will be sent for recycling and wet waste will be treated by Organic Waste Converter. Process:- 1. Large volumes of food waste from pre-cooking, leftover after meal are dumped in community bins, which is responsible for foul odor & health hazards. 2. Organic Waste Converter homogenizes organic waste with appropriate additive & bio culture. 3. The output from device is uniform colored coarse powder in appearance and is without any bad smell. 4. Thus treated material over-come major cause of nuisance to resident community related to eye & nose sense. 5. It can be composted into good quality organic manure in 2 weeks. Benefits of OWC The total MSW arriving on the site is cleared on the same day. Provides a scientific method for the production of organic compost. Elimination of foul odor. Elimination of Pathogens and weed seeds. Problem of rodents and insect pests is avoided. Aesthetically acceptable. Treatment time is substantially reduced. Eco-friendly & Economical Requires less space for the treatment. Load on the landfill is reduced, thus requires less land for disposal. 16 9.1. Give details of the power requirements, source of supply, backup source etc. What is the energy consumption assumed per square foot of built-up area? Provide specifications of its characteristics related to both short wave and long wave radiation? Normal 5 mm clear float glass is used. The glass will allow short as well as long wave radiations to pass through. However, use of shading devices on window panes will reduce heating inside the buildings What passive solar architectural features are being used in the building? Illustrate the applications made in the proposed project. Solar architectural features have been planned in order to reduce cooling loads of the structure. They are: 1. Longer side facing dominant wind direction 2. Water bodies ample adding to passive cooling 3. Proper shading devices for windows. (Not Applicable) 9.5. Does the layout of streets & buildings maximize the potential for solar energy devices? Have you considered the use of street lighting, emergency lighting and solar hot water systems for use in the building complex? Substantiate with details.

The construction is designed in order to assure maximum of the natural light and ventilation in the structure. Light shades will be used to color the walls so that heat gain is reduced Do the structures use energy-efficient space conditioning, lighting and mechanical systems? Provide technical details. Provide details of the transformers and motor efficiencies, lighting intensity and air-conditioning load assumptions? Are you using CFC and HCFC free chillers? Provide specifications. As it is a residential complex with no built provision for space cooling. Energy efficiency in lighting and mechanical systems will be achieved by: CFL & LED based lighting will be done in the common areas, landscape areas, Solar lights will be provided for common amenities like Street lighting, & Garden lighting. Use of Solar Panel for Hot water What are the likely effects of the building activity in altering the micro-climates? Provide a self-assessment on the likely impacts of the proposed construction on creation of heat island & inversion effects? The proposed project is of residential type and will not have space conditioners or glass wall. Alteration of microclimate is not notable in this case. Systematic design of buildings in order to assure maximum natural ventilation and light will be considered to reduce the effect of creation of heat island What are the thermal characteristics of the building envelope?
