This training programme is supported by Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) and full training fees is being financed by MNRE. There are 20 seats available in this course. Of late development of Solar Power Projects has assumed importance. Presently the installed capacity of Grid connected Solar Power projects is about 1050 MW. There is a target of commissioning 20,000 MW Solar power projects under Jawaharlal Lal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM) by Such large capacity additions of Solar Technology require trained man power to meet the challenges of tomorrow. There is an acute shortage of trained man power in this area. This training program has been designed to meet this requirement. This is the first training programme of its kind being organized in the country.
